Peanut proving that our concerns over boot space were unfounded!!!

We've just ordered a set of genuine Ford leather trimmed ltd edition floor mats, a set of genuine Ford mud flaps and a spare wheel set for it too!!!

A small update, stuff has arrived for Peanut, some of it right smile, some of it not frown, this is mainly due to me being a clot!!!
So this arrived....

Can you tell what it is yet???

It's now snuggled up nice and cosy in the spare wheel well, having replaced the nearly out of date tyre filler upper thingy that came with the car!!
Also the Limited Edition leather edged mats arrived, they're rather nice, especially for £24.99 delivered, they are used but are immaculate and the stitching matches that on the seats!!!
Old.

New.

Back ones are just as nice!!

And now for the not so good, I ordered a set of genuine Ford mud flaps, it's a 2017 car but pre 04/17 face lift, and I ordered 2017 shape mud flaps so they don't fit!! grumpy
I've asked if they can be exchanged for the correct ones, but I'm guessing I won't hear anything until next week some time!!

And so today I has mostly been washing cars......and polishing them.......and stuff!!!! smile
Both were pretty filthy and in need of a clean, I'd treated myself to a Bosch Easy Aquatak 120 and the car washing kit to go with it which includes a 6m extension hose, a brush head, a 90degree head for cleaning the wheel arches and a snow foam attachment, never used a pressure washer or snow foam so I was a very excited little man to get to grips with it, left me wondering why I'd taken so long to buy one!!!! Washing them both has sadly highlighted a couple of issues with both cars, there are several scratches and stone chips on Peanut, nothing major but annoying none the less, and I have a small patch of brush on Rio that needs addressing!!!
I'll leave you with a picture of clean shiny cars!!!

An Eyersey style mileage moment during the week!

But also some unwelcome discoveries when I whipped the front drivers side wheel off during the week to try and track down the suspension knock which is getting worse, I found out I have an oil leak on the driver's side of the engine, the front discs are wearing unevenly, the rearmost pads are not using the whole disc either, but I don't if this is a legacy from uneven pad wear or a sign that the caliper isn't working properly, and all that's on top of the sodding suspension knock!!! frown

So the Rioja Blue Racing Slug Focus has gone to a garage recommended to me by a friend who's used them for many years both professionally and personally, to be checked for uneven pad wear, an oil leak and that sodding suspension knock, part of me hopes they'll find something wrong with the shocks as that would be a good excuse to go for a mild upgrade to Bilstein B4s and Eibach springs, i'm hoping the oil leak isn't something major which requires half the engine being stripped, as i've had a quote from South Coast Tuning for a rolling road remap, taking her from 113BHP/207Nm to 147BHP/261Nm for £250, let's see what the garage says.
Meanwhile i've been permitted to drive Peanut today, which was preceded by dire warnings of removal of parts of my anatomy without anesthetic if i hurt smile her in any way!!!!

The little fiesta looks great, my Mrs has a 2018 Titanium one with the poverty 100ps tune, its still a riot to drive revs and revs for fun.

What wasn't fun was the gearbox needing some new bearings at 44K eek

Still its back now hopefully not to happen again!

Only thing I don't like is the narrow seats, not sure if the Mk7 has the same ones or i need to accept i have a fat back.

Good luck with the oil leak, the 1.8's always bloody leak.

I’m late picking up this thread but as a serial Ford/Lotus owner for over 50 years thanks for a great read! A few weeks ago I drew up a list of all the Fords I’ve owned(sad but true) and it came to 21. There’s obviously been a few enjoyable dalliances with other makes along the way. My wife’s currently on her second Focus ST3 and next week I’ll pick up a nearly new Fiesta ST Line X. Even at my ripe old age I can’t wait!
