Tip for the seats btw, I used an upholstery cleaning company on my shed who did a proper clean and wet vac and instantly could tell it was worth every penny of the £40!

With 12 cars (potentially) needing doing, you may have been better off buying your own cleaner.

They've done a cracking job though.

Edit, just realised you're not the OP.... D'oh!

I have a George wet vac that could probably sort the seats out but it’s unlikely to get it. I’ll be selling this on cheap as-is, as fixed as it’ll get, rather than full retail prep.

Not going to be doing much beyond very basic washes unless something really needs polishing/is exceptionally dirty and it’d make a good video or whatever.

I’m sure I could hang onto this Focus a little bit longer, fit a set of better condition alloys etc and sell it for good money but that all takes time and space!

Feb’s car is agreed already

When one of us fellow shedding idiots buys it, it might get a wash more than once a year. Madness I know, 2 washes in a year for a shed? Unheard of.

OK, OK it’s not that hard to get to. I still shouldn’t need to remove a headlight to check fluid though!!!

That’s enough for tonight, sleep tight brave soldier

Hoping I’ve managed to diagnose the steering issue. Need Forscan to sort it though!

This is an interesting/useful document for anyone chasing EHPS issues like this. - the Focus uses a very similar TRW steering system.

..... Ford didn’t spec a pump with a dipstick built in though, joy.

I’m along for the ride on this one, a daft adventure in the best sense of the word!

If there’s anything in and around the York area that tickles your fancy, let me know - happy to provide lifts and spanners!

That Mini looks like an absolute gem for the money - I know if I tried to find one in budget it’d be many times worse! biggrin

The photos flatter it more than somewhat, every panel has some sort of defect. It's a good base car for some cheap thrills though.

You'd have thought at 41 I'd have grown out of enjoying cheap old cars, but no. I've done 200 miles in it already while my MX5 and 2014 Mini Clubman haven't had a look in this week!

Yeah tell me about it, I was getting a ribbing from my OH for taking the £174 wonder to work on Monday whilst my 2018 320d which I bought specifically for commuting sat unused biggrin

Love this, are you having a rule that Jan's car needs to be sold before Feb's arrival?

Or is there a chance (probably a good one) that you'll have 12 cars by Christmas 2020? (I'm sure we could create a seasonal song for that)

Love it. Just get an FM transmitter and use Radioplayer on your phone for the stereo if it hasn't got bluetooth. If it has, skip the FM transmitter!

On a slightly OT note, how did you create the logo splash on the start of the video? I need to do something similar...

Hmmm wasn’t that a “roffle” car recently?

I still keep an eye on the brown forum but haven’t logged in for ages - my last posts resulted in winning a Rover 75 in a “roffle” so thought it better not to have that level of temptation
It was.... I bought three tickets for £15, didn’t win, and gave the winner scrap for it (£159)
What’s a roffle car?

PS: genius idea, btw.

There’s a chance of the latter for sure.... biggrin Feb’s car is secured already I just haven’t collected it yet. Can’t see this Focus sticking around especially if I manage to repair the steering fault though!
