I did
1. secondary cat removal
2. Resonator delete
3. X pipe
My advice is do two out of the three
Keep the secondary cats and do resonator delete and X-pipe
or
Delete the secondary cats and X-Pipe keeping the resonator
Doing all three is just too anti social - I mean it's fking awesome but frankly fking embarrassing at the same time - it's just too much
I think I'll start with the X-pipe. 1. secondary cat removal
2. Resonator delete
3. X pipe

It's x-pipe with resonator delete or x-pipe with secondary cats delete as a minimum
I'm just trying to stop you doing the both option - many people have done it and are happy - for me it's just over the top and I'm going to fit additional silencers

I did all 3, because I'm a child
I'm blaming you for me doing all three rather than a more conservative step by step On a serious note it is bloody epic but tiresome after a while - what impressed me was the complete absence of any drone at cruising speeds (it's just too much to live with on a daily)

Mine just had the secondary cats removed. Plenty of noise, and still got through emissions on the MoT. It could be failed for having modifications to the emissions systems but there are plenty of friendly MoT testers around!
I was grateful at the time that I had a friendly tester with the 200SX. I'd removed both cats and put a stainless system on it...and it used to shoot some lovely flames out of the exhaust! It did start to eventually melt the bumper though!
To say that car only had a 4 cylinder engine...I did still love it loads though.
X pipe booked for a couple of weeks time.
For now I have just been enjoying the car.
I had a fantastic drive over the Pennines last weekend. A crisp, dry day, so I was able to enjoy the power and noise safely.
Perfect conditions really. 17mpg over 150 miles though by the time I got to Edinburgh (went up the a68 which was pretty empty on Monday afternoon).
A trip which makes you think “ah yes, that’s why I love this car!”.

Looking good, I really need to take mine out for a run but the weather is pants at the moment.
I've got Pilot SuperSports on the back and they really don't like these temps
Mine is on Michelin Pilot Sport 5s which seem okay if it's reasonably dry.I've got Pilot SuperSports on the back and they really don't like these temps
So long as it's not raining I take the car out (roof down of course!).
Eg...!

So why did I sell mine?!
No idea! There’s nothing really like them (apart from a later model). I’m going to add to the fleet with this one rather than replace. Fancy a supercharged jag XJ…

I have just bought one!!! So far I have had it remapped and am soon to have an x pipe fitted. I am going secondary cat and resonator removal. in the next couple of weeks.
How you finding it so far and where'd you get it from? I've recently picked up a 2010 350 but tempted to change already.Luke I am loving it!! A friend of mine came with me when I went to buy it. It was filty dirty and looked unloved. I agreed a price that day and picked it up two days later on a Monday ax the seller wanted cash. The seller had washed it and it looked 100 times better. Why he hadn't bothered when he had it advertised is beyond me. My mate offered me a £1500 profit on the car as soon as he saw it clean. I refused and found him one nearly as good as mine for less than he had offered. There is no comparison with a proper AMG car and a normal Merc. If you drive one your 350 will be up for sale instantly! I had been sort of looking for a 55amg for a while and I had gone out the week before and bought a Cayman S when I saw my car advertised. I couldn't really justify it but I had to have it. My girlfriend doesn't know why I need over twenty cars But we are only here once I just need more parking

20 cars - now that's impressive! Where are you getting the X-pipe done? They remap very well. Mainly for the torque - I really noticed the difference when mine dropped off.
X-pipe and full rolling road session on Wednesday, so I will be interested to see what the results are.
These are really charming cars - German AMG TVRs.
Agreed that a drive after a 350 will result in classified perusal.
I haven't decided yet on who I am going to for the x pipe. I have a few friends with ramps and welders. I already have the x pipe its just a case of getting the car in the air and cutting and measuring. it will be interesting to see how much difference it makes when you put your car on the dyno.Having so many cars can become a pain I only realised a couple of days ago that I have two that are out of MOT. one of them ran out in May!!!!
