Yes its a pity. Will have to consult diaries and get one booked when you are about - my problem is that unless its school holidays its weekend only. How long you off for and when are you back after your next trip at sea.
I'm thinking of doing my trailer test so I can tow the car about instead of keeping it road legal (I'm so young). I'm here till end of Feb and then back in Late May ish.

Went to the horse shoe pass for a quiet drive out. I was at Oulton on Jan 25th but unfortunately I didn't see the huge speed bump at the entrance ( low sun, wet road, uphill and was blinded) and the car bottomed out.Had to be recovered and have a new gearbox mount and drive shaft. Expensive day that was.

March 16th sounds great smile

What a pita. Crept over those new speed bumps on the bridge. Seem far too high too me.

A bit overdue. Fitted oil restrictor at the end of last summer and have decent brake pads and fluid in now. Going to upgrade to APs soon and shorten the diff ratio.

Done a few trackdays now and very pleased with it overall . After a bit of spit and polish today a professional detail is now on the list to do!

Bit of an update. Cars been in to Autobahn BMW and MERC specialist in Halesowen. Big thanks to Rob and the lads. Proper enthusiasts and experts.
Valve clearances checked and adjusted, oil and filter change, oil diverter valve fitted, rear brake lines replaced with copper items, constant pressure valves and other dodgy gaskets replaced, exhaust brackets replaced then a mop and polish and general check over. Car looks great and feels quicker.

And an early morning meet at 6am before a blast out around wales with some other tasty motors.

Won't be tracking it this year; brakes need doing and so do the tyres. Look into tracking it next year or if job prospects go well might buy a 17/82 track toy.

Will do. Need to get out in it soon. Not driven it since September. Have improved the steering rack and got a deal sorted on a donor diff though.

nice one on securing the diff; you set on a 911? noticed your thread the other day about a Carrera.

Hi mate. Not sure yet. Don't think 911 will be a big enough thrill against the daily. Going to get the bm ready for you, enjoy that some more then reconsider. Been browsing lotus exiges but not sure if I'll be able to get out of one when its int he garage. Also like cayman r but again it won't be much quicker than the golf. What would you go for?
