One of my rears was losing tyre pressure, so today I jacked it up and removed the wheel (eventually). This is what I found
I have checked the alloy and cannot see any cracks. I did find a nail in the tyre so will assume the tyre was losing pressure from that and the guy I bought it off drive it around with low tyre pressures.
I also checked the disks and pads, all looked healthy
And I cleaned the arch lip out... this is how much holds in the area and why the E46 is so bad for rust on the arches
I also removed the fuel flap as the previous owner had opened it too far and bent it.
Before
After
Cleaned these out
Off to get some new tyres tomorrow now 😡

My ambient temperature sensor was missing so decided I was fedup with +50 on the dash. So I have been to the scrapyard and found the loom, temperature *sensor and the part of the arch lining it bolts into...
This is what I had
Parts I got
And the missing trim
So I split the cables and stripped the ends
Soldered the ends together (excuse my soldering skills)
Taped them up and wrapped in heat shrink. Not the cleanest of jobs but it's secure and works.
Sensor in place
And the results
Next up, I was missing the surround on a fog light, bought new item and fitted... but it's never that simple 
So this will have to be replaced
I also noticed today, when driving down a steep hill the auto box drops a cog and holds it on the engine brake. Very clever and a nice touch. She also goes well, gave her a bit of stick today and she performs really well.
That said, I have someone looking to buy it tomorrow subject to not being messed around.

Tonight I sat down with the service history and a beer and put it all into plastic wallets and into a folder. Got all the MOT together in date order and the same for the service history.
A few photos of the cars history
And I have this too. Think it is extended warranty folder
My manuals
And this is the history folders and manuals for this car and my M3 Evo GTII
I have the car booked in for an MOT on Friday and I am expecting it to pass with ease.
I also reset the throttle and it has improved it a bit but still very aggressive when pulling away. Never mind.
