This is also on its way from Japan...sti badge will be coming off though.

It's the optional Aero front grill, in the correct colour...much nicer than all that faux chrome smile

Indeed - looks so much better than the chrome tatt, though I always thought it was a bit like lipstick on a pig as the Gen 5 ain't a good looker to start with biggrin
Agreed, but its my pig now biggrin

I admire your preparation.

Got a few more bits on their way too...very little available in the UK, so all Jap auction sites. Which are filled with temptation.

I joined up back in 2010...posted in March this year for the first time biggrin

I assume the car is in the yard in the UK now?
Not yet, landed at Zeebrugge on Thursday, and due to be transhipped to Southampton on 20th June...I'll chase the Shipping Agents tomorrow and see if they have the name of the next vessel available yet.

I have now seen an Outback variant...it was a bit of a minger biggrin

Much cleaner than I expected, the interior is absolutely immaculate. Everything seems to work, including the lady shouting at me in Japanese for some reason or other biggrin

Tyres look like they will pass an MOT but look old, so I need to check the manufacture date.

Only driven it up and down the road so limited first impression, but the steering feels nice, very quiet and refined inside...horribly over-assisted brakes though.

Lots of paperwork, including FSSH and a spare key.

Chucked my load liner in too.

Any sign of the V5?
Not yet…although it is in a state of minor state of disassembly while I get the headlamps polished and a few bits of external trim painted. I’m also finishing off installing a new head unit, just oe reverse camera to wire up and diagnosing poor DAB signal. Speakers are OK. I’ve disconnected the centre speaker as it was a dvd 5.1, which has helped. Wiring has been entertaining to say the least spin

How's yours?

As said on the legacy forum, can't believe you've still not received it. Have you called?

Happy with the springs?
Oh, I’ve not been on there…I’d best turn notifications on!

I have, they said it should be six weeks, but there can be delays so I should call back in a week.

Springs look to be in reasonable condition, they owe me about £200 as I had them sent via snail mail…so can’t really complain smile
