Excellent. The OG strutting in with a Volvo project. How much space will the bay have left once the V8's in?
Depends how much remodelling of the engine bay is required. We're expecting it to be quite a challenge. The engine is on a jig right now so it can be fired up and prepared ahead of fitment. Popped down today. Still lots of remedial work to do on rust issues and past bridges. And this is a “solid” one.
Front needs prepping with fixed points before some chopping for the engine. Axle probably next with modified Ford Explorer unit going in.
Spare wheel well has gone, replaced with fabricated chassis rail.
Rear axle is narrowed Mustang so reasonable size disks on the rear will be simple enough.
Front subframe and chassis is still being planned. I’ll report back on that once it’s in place.
Not sure on weight. Plan is to have a cage in there too as I don’t want 350bhp chucking me in a ditch without some safety measures.

Dashboard from a P1800 being 'encouraged' in. Wasn't the one-to-one swap I naively thought it was. They've done a great job though.
New wheels. I've never bought wheels before. What joy they bring! Just beautiful things.
Bumpers being prepped before going off for chroming. Do I reinstate the overriders or will it help the car look wider if I leave them off?
