600ftlb at 1.1bar hehe

That's going to be some car, what boost are you aiming for?
Depends what pump fuel will push, also see how far i can go on the 1000cc injectors, im at 75% duty now so not much left in them, might get to 1.6 bar, could well have to upgrade the injectors.

Will know more next week.

Redline was 7200rpm on the old engine, its now set at 8100rpm on the new engine, extra revs are nice with the bigger turbo, i use to hit full boost at 3300rpm with the old setup, now im getting full boost at 3900rpm, with the bigger rev limit i have a larger powerband than before still.

Anyone tells you turbos this size are not streetable is wrong, this is devastating on the street.

Box and drive shafts will be fine, plenty of people pushing a lot more power than me with no problems, stock prop is know to twist sometimes on hard drag starts but i have three spares so not a problem.

Stock box, it will handle anything i can chuck at it with ease, some of the yanks are running around 2000bhp with stock gearbox's, 6 speed getrag is strong.

so will 1000bhp be enough? whats the highest bhp road legal supra in the uk ever been?
Im sure it will enough for a street car.

Road legal and street car are two different things in my book.

Proper street cars i can only think of one other 1000bhp (970bhp) supra in the uk and thats the guy who built mine, Lee from SRD.

Plenty of drag supras about that claim to be street cars but infact get trailored everywhere and never see the public highway.

There are a few builds going on this year though on the owners club, plenty of people chasing the numbers.

define decent power wink I imagine its different to my view smile
Stock Twin Turbo is pretty quick tbh, i normally have one or two kicking about, they max out at about 420-440bhp, once you single turbo them it transforms them into a real weapon if you do it right, many have been bodged over the years though.

Ive had a few emails since starting this thread about advice on buying supras, tbh its a minefield trying to buy a decent single converted car, Owners tend to keep them for a very long time if they have a good car, i will never part with mine, only decent one i can think of on the market now is Colin's Do-luck car.

Anyone is serious about a supra i can vouch for this car, very nice machine with good history behind it.

Question, why does the single (if that is the issue) take so long to catch on startup?

Cheers
I have it set that way, the syvecs ecu has a saftey feature that the car wont start untill it sees the correct oil pressure, always takes a couple of cranks.

Is yours technically as fast as something like this redface sure I read it had around 800 at the wheels so similar to yours it is going to be insane to be honest lol.
Also what are supra's like for around the 12k mark out of interest? And are they pretty cheap to maintain running stock ish power...

Darin is the mapper for Titan motorsports, that car is more like 1400rwhp, it might be 800bhp on pump fuel.

All depends on the car, if you want a nice supra talk to Jurgen, he is the only importer i would recommend, very good guy and sources some very nice supras.
