Engine is easy, it just drops in on Soarer mounts (same crossmember). The work is in the manual conversion and the wiring.
Gareth, I know you know a lot about these, what do you think of going with that supercharger kit above? Worth doing? From a position of never having driven a car fitted with one, centrifugal superchargers always seemed like the worst of both worlds to me. Neither the bottom end of a positive-displacement blower, nor the top end/tweakability of a turbo.
Putting myself in your shoes I'd have thought either low(ish) pressure turbo set up like Fearless's (assuming you don't want to get into another "built engine" mega project), or a positive-displacement supercharger to provide a different driving experience from the one you're used to - like this - 400 rwhp and 700-odd lb/ft from a Whipple. Although, reading further, the part about twisting the tailshaft on the A340 might not bode well for the R154's longevity. Turbo would probably be cheaper than a blower.
Extremely interesting!
Will the 1UZFE bolt up to the Supra Auto-box or is the Supra able to take the Soarer auto box too?
One of the lads on TB has built a flappy paddle system for Toyotas, which i plan to fit to the Soarer. Would be nice to know if the whole lot will go into a Supra as a straight swap.
Nice project Jamie.

Thanks, im not sure on the autobox stuff, i did hear you just use the complete soarer/ls setup but im not sure.
Car is looking very sorry for itself at the min, sold the bonnet and wheels.
New wheels are going on next week and a stock bonnet, then its off to the bodyshop to get it looking mint.
