I bet you can drift it better than I drifted the M3 Jack wink
EFA hehe

Unfair advantage in drivetrain layout redcard...... I will be giving it ago to get rid of the crappy tyres in the new year. Had it sideways when we picked it up, but not in the same league as the M3 instance....

Catch you soon George.

Looking good. I enjoyed my lowly non GT Mk2 MR2 while I had it, such a fun little car to throw around. Yours actually has some power so should be even better!

Will be watching progress with interest.

Sorry to be rude but wondering if you mind revealing what you paid roughly?

Looks like a whole lot of fun!

No problem at all, we paid just under £1500 (£750ish each)

They are fantastic value for money, few in the trackday classifieds at the moment.

Cage in ours is worth £800 (new), and clutch combo is £400 also had the cambelt done 1000 miles before we bought it. These three additions equate to what we paid for it.

One of the things we have noticed that the car was missing is braided brake lines. So we checked out the normal places and and found that Camskill was the cheapest by a bit for a nice set of HEL brakelines (£66) they quoted a lead time of 2 weeks on their website, We have the entire winter before we end up tracking this so its not a problem to wait a few weeks for some parts.

This was on Tuesday. By Wednesday I had a tracking code in my email and this morning I found a parcel on my desk at work with the following in it.

I was very very impressed at how quick Camskill managed to turn our order around, awesome job guys .

Yes, It did have to be yellow lines.

Another update, it's all go !

After a long long friday afternoon I finally make it home to be greated by the site of two 2 piece Powerflex front radius arm bushes and the certificate of ownership from the DVLA woohoo

Mr Kovac and I will be fitting the bushes tomorrow aswell as giving the car a good wash before finally covering it back up again for another week. We have also treated it to a waterproof cover as the poor old thing resides outside..... needless to say the Corvette and Custom bikes get garage priority at SNR's house hehe

Pictures to follow tomorrows work smile

Ermmm, well the bushes were the wrong one's :@ (to narrow despite being assured they would fit)

We checked the lines were the right size etc so aslong as an Opie oils box arrives containing the brake fluid we will be fitting the lines on Saturday.

We also found that the cage is really close to the drivers head when wearing a helmet, almost to the point of not being able to sit up straight (slight lean to the left) so we may have to take the front loop of the cage out, this isn't as bad as it sounds as it would still be a 4 point cage that is triangulated right above the occupants heads.

Right, today we got around to fitting the braided lines....

With the fronts done we then stumbled upon a problem (in our eyes), the fact that the 'solid' joint from main brake pipe to flexy braided hose was non existant as the factory clamp isn't adaptable. You can see in the pic where the old clamp was situated (this was also the joiner hence why it couldn't be adapted)

So abit of cutting and bending later we managed to knock up a decent bracket...

That's all for now smile

That doesn't look like your normal choice of footwear lads, so how much of the cutting and bending did you actually do yourselves?

It's probably better you were "supervising" than allowed to play with the sharper tools. Good thinking from your cohorts. wink
