Thanks for the thumbs up, the car has taken over a 1.5 years to complete and all thats left know is to get the set up right, i need to get some track time in the car and get used to the fly by wire throttle, which i must confess i'm finding a bit odd but i've only just finished running the car in!
There is massive amounts of grunt but at the same time its really well mannered on the GM ECU but can't wait to really push it :]
The car is going to be at Chatsworth hopefully with a new larger set of wheels to lay more rubber down on the rears!
As for cost its just got silly as i ended up following the in for a penny in for a pound mantra with the petrol tank being the only thing apart from the chassis and body that is original.
Including the purchase of the car and the plate i reckon i'm the better side of 55k yikes
But for that i've got the car i've always dreamed of with a juiced up nigh on 500bhp motor wieghing in at 1060KG :]
I'm not quit finished as i plan to tweek the motor with a cam and a few other bits but thats for after the summer.
The original plan was to create my perfect track car, i've now learnt i'll always be compromised by the fact i want to keep the Griff on the road so next project is a full blown track monster!!! eg wide bodied LS7 powered 350c or ls powered tuscan racer??????????
More pictures to follow

Don't take it out on me that you only got the 4.2 laugh
The day i bought the Griff i had actually gone to test drive a cerb! The roof down option won but if i ever sell the 350 a 4.5 lightweight will be filling that space!!!

The Griff is my least favourite TVR (well I would say that as an ex Chim owner), & would prefer to stick with the original power plant, but having said that I really really like much of what you have done there.

Awesome conversion. Having just sold my Chim and replaced with with an LS1 powered Monaro I would think your Grif puts a massive smile on your face as that's a nutty combination! I'd love to go down this route with a Chimaera one day smile

I see you on the Ultima forum as well!
An itch i'm seriously considering although i might have to change the Family BMW round first!
Do you still have your special BM?
Keep posting the interesting pictures
Indeed, stil have feelings for such brutal car, although the last years I'm getting more to the GT40 replica, they are so timeless to look at and can be brutal too biggrin
And yes, I still have that one off ever made Hartge Z3 coupe (its not a BMW, although based on it, its a factory Hartge officialy ) wich also can give a punch but more refined compared to the other 2.
Thats why I also love the TVR idea with the LS376 or 525 engine, for me best in a T350c (more rigid) but in a Griffith or Chimaera may be possible too.
To many lovely V8 cars on my list and not much money to spend biggrin so a bit reading and info collecting, distract my mind a bit.

In hindsight i would of kept the griff standardish and bought a cat d 350c and build a wide body LS GT car, as the only alternative to find the handling i'm looking for in the Griff would be to add a full cage and some Aero!
Learnt i need to keep the Griff as a special road car and occasional track toy, & buy myself a proper track tool hence the LS Ultima interest as its rear wheel V8 Power with a wider track more rubber and alot more.
Personal fav is Wayne old car now owned by Luckyp serious piece of raw carbon power & sexy as hell! Would be the final piece in the jigsaw!
Indeed, sounds better, the Grif is not really suited well enough for track use and better a nice mix, a fast roadcar and also occasionally trackday car.
I would use the T350c also that way, most road and a few trackdays, but in my case I want it LHD to...and there's no LHD T350c yet...but I guess
with the Sagaris LHD parts/replica you could do it on the T350?

I saw also you have a T350c too, you lucky man biggrin

Indeed a Ultima GTR is more suited although in the right configuration...not with a AS engine...a LS would do nice, there are also some Belgian racers Ultima,
as I speak of it there's a race Ultima GTR for sale...but that has a BMW R6 engine and 450hp I thought...
Also grasser do Ultima racing...maby you can get there some info...
Indeed that luckyp car is lovely.

I brought the writings to your/this thread so we won't disturb to much the other guys build biggrin

Nice build btw in this thread

Looks brilliant and the LS series conversion suits the Griff down to the ground. It seems to just be a matter of time before they all get done. I bet it sounds fantastic too.
