If you saw them close up you wouldn't. They were £80 on gumtree and are kerbed to f##k! But they balanced up ok and do the job!

I'm actually a big fan of the white now. It is a bugger to keep clean but I like it. Our new family bus, B-Max, is frozen white too.

Yes, it's the 2.0 litre ecoboost. I've owned it 2.5 years now and I'm really pleased with it.

I have had my ST Estate since July and love it. The only real problem I have is the Sync fuse needs pulling every few weeks. But its not a big surprise that the software is a bit crap as it is microsoft.

Here is a gratuitous pic.
Focus ST by i_ache, on Flickr

It is currently on its winter steels with crappy winter tyres.

Lovely car. I think I'd have a black estate like the one posted above for camping.

Boozy if you mean me I picked up some steel wheels already fitted with 205/55 r16 Dolphin branded winter tyres. They are a bit narrow but generally ok. With better tyres I'm sure it will be loads better especially in the wet, they are good at low speed in the snow and ice. I only paid £150 for them so I'm happy.

Mercury, thanks. It's certainly great for mountain biking trips that involve nice roads in wales. A much better car (even ignoring the engine) for family stuff than the C-Max I had before.

I can't get beyond the handbrake. My eyes just won't leave it alone.
(nice car, mind)

Yep, same on my car. Not the easiest fuse to get to either, I've often thought about running a short fuse extension to make it easier to pull the fuse when necessary.

Also - for those ST owners with the Style pack, watch out for the fuse blowing for the illuminated scuff plates that come with the Style pack, the same fuse also protects most of the dash lights and EVERY control on the drivers-side front door card.

That's handy to know. Mine has the style pack but I've had no trouble so far. The Sync is a bit iffy but not had any need to reset it yet.

I really don't see the benefit to the sync. On my C-Max i never had a problem with connectivity for my iPod, on the ST it is pretty rubbish. I'm due a service (first in my ownership) so will have a moan about it then. I did have a quick look to see if I could find an RCD to replace the fuse but couldn't find anything.

That one looks perfect other than they don't come in 7.5a. Others don't seem to have a test button to trip it easily.

Should have searched for circuit breaker rather than RCD.

Or if you meant me? I went for Toyo Snow prox. They're the same size as the originals, 235/40 18's and the wheels are called RV's and are the same size and offset as the original.
