BMW E30 325i Touring
Discussion
Lovely car, this is what I like about these threads, people keen to fix things to keep a decent car on the road, where others may have given up and scrapped them. There cant be many of these left now.
Fond memories of my brothers 1988 e30 325i touring in red, with beige leather. It had only done 120,000 miles in bout 2004, and despite starting off in life in Dumfries Scotland, the body was clean with no rust. He even took it fully loaded to the south of france one year where it got lots of attention. Sadly moved on to make way for a work van.
Any more pics and some of the interior?

So, here it is, back from a £5k freshen up...
Head rebuilt with new casting, 272 cam, bigger valves
New discs and green stuff pads with braided hoses
3.73 Limited slip diff
Rebushed throughout
Short Shift Kit
Plus a few other bits and pieces - a LONG invoice over 2 sheets of A4.
It already has a chip, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, Air filter, Stainless 6 branch plus full custom system.
Completely standard outside and in.
Should be sitting at my desk, but slunk off for a quick blast as the weather is so good, and god it's lovely! It's so tight, rorty and nimble. So much fun.
So strange that it has gone from being my shed for well over a decade while other far more exotic things came and went, and now it's my treasured high day and holidays car...
Definitely a keeper now.

These are wonderful cars of a type and character that just isn't available new and hadn't been for some time: tight, light, pure, simple, high quality. It has everything you really need to drive with pleasure and it responds well to effort and concentration. Hat off to you for keeping it good. If you get back in the habit of using it, I dare say you'll start to take it every time. Lovely car.
