XJS daily driver
Discussion
This looks lovely and brings back memories of when I used to daily an XJ40 XJR 4.0 at one point.
I commend you for driving such a car and giving it the work it deserves. Many of these IMO do not drive as well as they car due to being on tired suspension. I can only imagine what yours is like.

Thanks for all the replies
Steering wheel is personal taste, I still have the original Momo 'sport' one but imo it was horrific (like this)

Lovely car OP, manual naturally aspirated straight 6 - what's not to like!
Fair play to you for using it as a daily, as intended.
I will own a Jag one day - when I was at primary school in the 60's I decided I was going to start with a Mini Cooper S, followed by an E-type then a Mercedes 600.
Haven't had any of them, and barring a lottery win I never will, but I really fancy a manual 3 litre S Type one day; or maybe an XK8.........

Little update, checked the front wheel bearing adjustment yesterday and replaced the fuel filter.
The last couple of weeks the car has been lacking top end grunt and will barely accelerate above 4000rpm, and is smelling a bit rich. I have checked the AFM and TPS, and also the coolant temp sensor which are all fine. Next up is to check fuel pressure I think.
Any other ideas welcomed

I have been watching some wheels that I like for a while on eBay. They should fit fine but will measure the widths and offsets of the current wheels just to make sure.
I like the current wheels but the tyres are getting a bit low for my liking (plus they are OLD) and the 235-60R15 Pirelli P600's are £170 a corner! This is a bit much for me to stomach when I can get a good set of 16" wheels and tyres for around £550 all in, plus i actually get a choice of modern rubber as opposed to the 80's design Pirellis.
I will update if i order anything

My dad got rid of this after about 10 years of ownership last summer, i almost cried and still wish he had never gone through with it! Back to reality and it needed at least 5k spending on to bring it back up to daily useability.
I did try and use it every time i could though, just needed bits and bobs doing to it but there's a lot of bits and bobs!!!

That's the little Trabi. Funnily enough built the same year as the Xjs
