Unfortunately not. I am actually going to a car audio specialist next week to see what options I have as bluetooth audio streaming would be good. It does have bluetooth and connects to my phone, so I can dial or receive calls on my mobile and it comes through the car speakers, but it doesn't appear to allow me to connect to my phone's audio. I do have an FM transmitter plugged into a 12V socket in the back of the car which I run under the passenger seat and the cable then runs into the central arm rest, and I plug my phone into that, but I'd prefer it to be wireless. We shall see what they say when it gets to the audio chaps next Friday.
Check out the solutions by Grom - rated well on the lexus forums - I just put one in my IS300 Shed and it's great

Their site says no match found for my car, will ping them a message and see what they say smile

They emailed back saying they're almost certain one of their kits would work and sent me the link, but have requested I email them a photo of my onboard computer screen with the radio on so they can confirm. Looks like around £350-400 plus whatever it would cost to get someone to fit it.

Great cars these, and a proper wafter!

I bought one earlier this year and have been really enjoying it as my daily for the last six months. You forget how easy and relaxing it is to drive until you get into something else.......I've bought an E70 X5 Se this week and the ride in that is awful by comparison.

How many miles has yours done......I wanted a low mileage one so mine's on under 58k even now after clocking up 4k in the last few months.

I think mind maybe going up for sale in the New year if I can find it's replacement, but it will be sorely missed it I do sell!

With regards your headlight, it is really common apparently and I've just replaced both my front bulbs due to the same issue with the passenger headlight going out and normal service has been resumed.

Regularly see over 30mpg too.

Do let us know when it comes time to sell. I love an inter-PH barge purchase and my kids saw one of these and want electric footrests and all the other stuff in the back now!

Haha, mine is the SE-L so top of the range with the nicest wheels, but it's only the long wheelbase model that has the chaise longue, the regular 5 metre+ long standard wheelbase one like mine has to just make do with Electric Reclining, Heated and Cooled Rear Seats, TV, DVD, Fridge, Electric Rear and Electric Side Window Blinds, Alcantara Headlining etc and lots I've probably forgotten........and that's just in the back, but if you can make do, I'll let you know biggrin !!

Mine has done 99k miles, so a lot more than yours but still plenty of life left in it, I'm sure!

Put the car in your will, with the common issues you've already and scheduled fluid changes it will really last. 99K is barely run in!

A 460 like yours is on my collection list, but my UFC20 refuses to die and make room!

Ha, as you say, plenty of life left in that.

I've also got an LS400 that's 10 years older and done 100k and that drives just as well as the LS460, in fact, it's buying the 400 this year that made us sell our 9 month old modern daily and buy the 460 too!

I have gone and ordered the GROM audio unit. It is a unit which is android auto - so my phone will connect to it, and I can use the on board computer with android apps to use maps, phone audio, radio etc etc. The unit will be coming soon but booked in to get it fitted January 11th.

Very much looking forward to it. In the meantime I've just burned some mp3 files to a few cds to keep me tided over. Having just played a few of my favourite tracks, I can indeed confirm that the Mark Levinson system is indeed really rather good!

Is it the VLine unit? Or will it provide a new screen?

Sounds ace as the infotainment is really the only thing that dates some cars these days. Often the ride and comfort are still on par or better.

Looking forwards to your install;)

It's the Vline unit, so will use the existing screen smile

Well, the car has gone to get the VLine system fitted today. The chap is going to put the box (which is pretty small) in the glovebox, so I have easy access to it. The unit has USB and SD card connections so you can just add music that way if you don't want to plug your phone in every time. I am just really hoping they sent the right unit and all of the connectors are the right ones, and it works well!

I'm very much looking forward to getting it back later today (hopefully!).

VLine unit fitted today and.....it works! Really well. Google map integration is absolutely perfect and even works with "OK Google" and speaking your destination. My music app (Musicolet) works perfectly through it so I'm very happy with that. What doesn't work at the moment is the radio app that I generally use with my phone, I've found another app so I just need to add all of my favourite stations to it etc. It will take a while fiddling around with the various settings and adding the apps I want to use etc but overall it's a very good bit of kit smile

Pleased. Was charged £120 for fitting. It connects via USB and he's put the end of the USB connector JUST poking out of the bottom/side of the centre console on the passenger side. I've just connected a USB cable to that which connects to my phone which can then just be run into the storage area within the arm rest.

Sounds good Ross. Considering this also.

One question: can you stream music from your app to the car via Bluetooth or does the phone need to be connected via the USB port?

Hi Olly. Don't quote me but I THINK it can stream via bluetooth. I just connect the phone though. If you go to the main VLine screen and out of Android Auto there is a bluetooth function thing, so I can only assume you can stream via the phone that way. In a minute I will try it out for you and let you know.

I've had the unit fitted in the glovebox, the cable runs into the centre console (he's drilled a very small hole on the inside....you can't see it, and never will) and the USB cable connector (female connection) exits to the side at the bottom of the centre console on the passenger side. If you had a passenger sitting there....think roughly 2/3 of the way up their shin and on the right hand side, it's pretty subtle. I just run a normal USB cable from that to my phone, and can stash my phone in the compartment within the armrest. Where it's all integrated there's no need to play around with the phone, changing from radio/mp3 library/google maps etc is all done via the OBC and you can change songs/radio stations etc using the buttons on the steering wheel or just say "OK Google, play the next song" or whatever.
