Thank for checking in. Long story short, it's still in Scotland. I'm in absolutely no rush for the car, because the sooner it's here, the sooner I have to explain myself to my wife laugh

The good news is the guy collected it recently and drove it back from Newcastle, and said it was spot on. Drove really well etc. It also have the Bluetooth audio which is a bonus, so probably won't rush to swap out the headunit. Only one key which is a pain, so looking at getting a second.

Transport is lined up, just waiting for a backfill load.

Not long now then. Looking at the interior picture, does this have the CVT box?

No, thankfully! It has a normal 5 speed auto. The CVT comes on the UK spec 2.5 N/A

Thanks. Sounds great too.

Booked in for MOT on Wednesday and then have to post the documents to DVLA. Then a bit more waiting....

Looks very smart indeed, a nice little present to arrive for the holiday season!

Will you get to it before New Years or is this a January item once the...er...matrimonial posting is cleared?

Ha. I'm taking it for it's MOT on Wednesday then it's going back to a friend's farm until the DVLA have done their thing. Then I advise the wife....

I'm sure she'll be sold on the fan that came with it. Genuine Japanese.

Out of interest, did this arrive on an uncovered trailer being towed by a 4x4 or something yesterday?

I was northbound on the A1 and I saw one going south and immediately remembered this thread haha.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was my car. He set off from Newtown St Boswells yesterday after lunch and arrived at 0715 this morning, in the New Forest. The route without tolls takes you down the A1(M)

Rear fog light as standard btw, saves messing for MOT, but does need numberplate bulb. Unacceptable if you ask me.... laugh

We returned from East Lothian to Shropshire yesterday and, after filling up with LPG in Newtown St Boswells in my BP5 SpecB Tourer (H6), saw your car too!

An ace purchase, well done. I'll be keeping an eye on the thread as I'm wondering what I'll eventually replace Yoshi with. Enjoy in good health.

Looks really good. I'm interested to see how it drives compared to the Gen 4. After the long wait I hope you get it on the road soon.

Ha. I'm not against the original wheels. Semi gutted they are winters tbh, as I'd quite have happily kept them and sold the black ones. Will consider my options, but I'm not anti the black ones now either. Might just switch between them.

That's incredible. Spotted by two PH members who've both seen it before me!

Yeah it's not universally loved like the 4th Gen is. I personally quite like it, but it does look under-wheeled probably due to the arches. The loss of the pillarless doors is a shame too, but I still think it looks pretty good. It's got a hood scoop, which is a win for me.

Thanks. Me too. I'm expecting it to be more refined but a little less direct based on the reviews. One of the real issues is the total lack of YouTube reviews in this generation with this engine. I've messaged JayEmm previously about doing a review (he did the previous generation). We shall see, but not holding out much hope that the DVLA will do anything quickly.
