Fiat Panda 100HP - Electroclash grey
Discussion
Excellent stuff. Watching with interest as I have had my 100hp (2010 Boss Nova White Pandemonium edition) since 2019.
Fair play for doing the cam belt yourself - I have an SKF belt, tensioner and water pump which will be going on soon. I'm too chicken to do that myself so my mechanic will be doing it. I didn't realise the engine mount needed to come off so I will be purchasing a Powerflex insert for mine and getting him to fit that too!
Keep up the good work

I like a panda too. Good work on the belt change. Had you done one before?
There is a beauty in their simplicity. I've driven loads of them and always liked them. This particular generation of Panda was nicely styled in a boxy way, good to drive, they're simple to work on, the FIRE engines were very robust and they're so very practical. A few jobs completed on the Panda today.
When i did the cambelt, i failed on the aux belt tensioner as i didnt have a stubby 6mm allen.
The swap was straighforward

Next job, i had a slight blow around the downpipe to centre pipe gasket, the plan was to replace the gasket and re-seal (i had previously slapped some high temp on as a temporary fix)

I thought i would have a struggle with the old looking nuts, however refreshingly, no issues encountered - so the area was cleaned up and high temp silicone applied

I took the oppourtunity to also clean up and re-seal the flexi join

all done

Last job was front discs, pads have recently been replaced all round but with the MOT on the horizon i took the opportunity to replace the lipped front discs

the mammoth G-clamp made the piston push back childs play - this was very welcome as i didnt this during a hailstorm

all done

Don't think the girlfriend would forgive me if I swapped the Volvo for one of these... But there's something really special about these cars, love the looks and the idea of wringing the neck of 100hp is just fantastic. Hope it treats you well OP!
I did the same, went from a V70R to a Panda 100hp, then back to an XC70. My thread is on here somewhere but it was such a hoot to drive. The ride however....Top work doing all that yourself, looks like a reasonably easy car to work on as you might expect but still not sure if I got the minerals!
What lead you to do the coolant, just routine replacement or was there an issue?
Electroclash is by far the best colour for one of these, looks great. What year is it?

Treated the italian stallion to a wash and ceramic spray wax, aerospace 303 on the trim and AG tyre gel on the tyres - impressed how it came out!
