Any one DIY'd a Rotrex charger? What on? pics? Heres mine
Discussion
I was reading up on this on e30zone a few years ago (& PPC mag) & I was really impressed with what you were doing.
I really like the conversion & it's the way I would have liked to have modded my e30 318is.
Yes, it's probably easier to fit a bigger motor, but to me, the IS is supposed to be a nimble motor- like the e30 M3 & not have a heavy 6 pot up front.
I did look at a 535 conversion, & i'm glad a kept it standard- not many ISs' left on the road
Gratuitous shot of my old one

Thanks for the answer. I have read about the DA kits but they dont make them anymore. I was hoping it was an off the shelve kit! I dont have the talent or equipment to make one from scratch. Did you do a journal of the build up for the first kit?
Heres the thread for the first build, you will have to log in to see it but its all free and only takes 2mins.19 pages

Is this car the one that was in PPC or Retro? Nice car!
Now supercharging a M50B25/28 that would be interesting

I'd love one of these on my 325i trackcar:

Used to be a lot better value before the arse dropped out of the exchange rate.
A touch over £3k.....
I shall have to pass that on to my friend with his M50 converted E30
I'm sure that would surprise a few people on track Sniff in your E36!
