Nice car, cracking colour. If I were you I'd just scrape off the front tints and leave the others. Enjoy it.

agreed. you can easily take them off with a bit of time and patience... and the handbrake bolts are easily tightened, you can do that too (Haynes??) smile

Remove the trim around it
Find the bolts
Search for socket.
Socket slips of bolt and you cut your knuckles, que, swearing.
Finally do up bolt.
Replace trim.

Done.

Update on car:

Handbrake = Tightened

Changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, and spark plugs.

Next job is to get some red carpets (the one it came with were pink!)

And then I don't know what to do with it after that... Maybe some nice seats.

Had one as my first car. Still have it now, five years later.

Easy to drive, been cheap to run, nothing has ever gone wrong.

I think they are still the best looking car in their class.

Don't waste any money on silly mods though. Enjoy.

£1200 with quinn direct, got discount for having named driver experience.

Not insured yet though, getting that sorted tomorrow!
Is that with you as first driver? That's well good!
Did you do it over the phone or through a comparison website? The quote I get online with Quinn is ridiculous, £4000+ for same car as yours but the old shape and slightly different trim level.

Don't waste your money on stuff you don't need, better to throw all the money you would use on mods into a savings account till you're 21 or so. Then when all your mates have hatchbacks still, you can be driving something a lot more interesting smile

P.s. i wish i'd done the above! biggrin

good choice. my 1st car was a clio too, 52 plate clio dynamique billabong 1.2.

had it over a year now smile

still loving it tbh, despite all the problems ive had with it frown. mine is lowered with a stealth exhaust too, hidden behind the bumper so doesnt look chav and has a nice but not ott sound.
