That's lovely JayB cloud9

Love the interior too, looks very comfortable.

How often are service intervals? (Belts etc)

How many miles has she done?

Thanks chap smile

Belts are 3 years or 15,000 miles. Not a bad job, under £500.

It's on 90K or so now.

I was involved in the developement of those. Got a preproduction model (it was badged as a standard 2 litre) on the autostrada south of Milan travelling at warp speed and changed from 4th to 5th just as I passed a series 5 BMW (& he wasn't standing still). Could just imagine the conversation at the BMW dealer afterwards - must be something wrong with the engine, won't go as fast as a 2 litre Thema......

I commend you, sir.

The lack of torque steer surprised everyone, to the extent I believe Alfa took advantage of it and used the same setup in the 164?

It was all down to the Lancia ride & handling engineer, he was an excellent guy - ended up quite high in the Fiat/Lancia org. Fiat/Lancia(T4/Y9) susp. settings were virtually identical, 164 was a bit different on principle as opposed to engineering reasons (politics of the time)

Yes, FWD.

215 bhp, which was enough at the time - made it the most powerful FWD in the world while current.

Wasn't the 164 originally a Pug?

Nope, styled by Pininfarina at around the same time as the 605, but that's all.

There was reportedly some heated words when the two came out.
