Great looking Cortina , hope the project goes well , 200 from a xflow is a mammoth task , and i wish you well biggrin take no notice about the ally cats they are a great 70/80 wheel , i bought some new from John Brown Wheels in about 82 !!

When you say unwelded shell are we talking about a fiberglass shell or deseamed?.

I sure mean that it not been touched by a welder in its life time so yep not a rot box like many old skool cars out there
Some more pics for ya , Head works nearly Finshed now and bottom end will be havoing dummy build next week as there lots of machining work that needs doing to block , pistons and the race cam

Little bit of an update , havent dont to much as i was away at the ring easter weekend , now back on the old girl should be back out on the road in a month
Replace my wilwood brakes for some proper AP radials , and fully polly bushed front end now also fitted new billet steering arms to give me some more lock

Your not based in or around aberdeen are you? I remember seeing something similar at a alford motor show maybe 2 years ago.

You had to remind me didnt you! I remember when you bought the silver Mk1.

BMX11T was a bit of a legend, where is it now? I should know but I dont venture on to Turbosport etc much any more.

Lovely old MK1, used to have one as a daily driver in the early 90's.

Those Escorts are pretty special looking too. I was at the Jersey speed festival last August bank holiday and the fastest guys up the hill were all driving escorts.
