Here is a few picture of the seats, should give you an idea:

With regards to selling the RS, it was a combination of its fuel consumption and also missing the free revving K20 engine in the CTR. RS was an amazing car just favoured the Honda in truth though.

A few other pics:

Nice car i used to have a NHB Prem CTR lovley car, loved the interior and the engine and gearbox were brilliant. I did find vtec a bit tiresome some times, but the thing that spoilt it for me was the electric power steering, i just didnt feel connected to the car and i didnt have the confidence init to drive it hard. It did improve when i put toyos on, i traded it in in 6 months, i saved for ages to buy it and i was realy dissapointed if i am honest.
I arent having a dig or anything just expressing my opinion, differnet people like different things. If the CTR had offered the same feedback as my old 106 GTI or current clio trophy i would never of got rid of it

I will have to admit the EPS isnt the best on the CTR but it is improved over the pre facelift model I also had, but still short in terms of the hydraulic system on the Focus RS.

A fast road setup is always worth doing and transforms the car from its standard setup

Attended an Easy Track evening session at Brands Hatch last Thursday, it is the first time I have ever tracked my own car although I have done a few track events now. After riding shot gun for the first 4/5 laps in my friends M3 CSL I started to think I was well out of my depth and that the Civic shouldn't really be here in this kind of company.

When I decided it was my turn to take to the track for the first time I was extremely nervous but after two or three laps the Honda settled right in and I started to really enjoy myself, it was at this stage I realised that the Civic Type-R is a very capable car indeed much more that I had originally anticipated. The high revving K20 engine really came into its own and although there is a need for a LSD which is next on my to do list its handling was very predictable which inspired a lot of confidence.

Anyway enough of the chat, here are some pictures.

Looks good! Quite fancy tracking my EP3 once i've sold my EG civic.

Do you have the full spoon exhaust or just the back box? I'm tempted to get one for my EP3, but running the N1 and b pipe with a decat on my EG6 has been interesting; not exactly the most subtle exhaust for long journeys.

I currently only have the N1 Silencer but am looking to marry this with a Supersprint silenced B-Pipe in the next couple of months, I personally really like the Spoon N1 although a lot of people say it is much to intrusive.

I love'd my Focus RS but in this kind of environment at Brands Hatch there is no doubt the Civic is more at home, but in the daily driver world the Focus has the luxury of power on demand where the Type-R doesn't have unless you want to make a load of noise and stir the gearbox.

I have a real softspot for the premier EP3, I spent days dreaming over them and now they're implanted into my head!

Went to look at one last year, 2005 55 Plate, 20k miles, cosmic grey, premier edition.. £8500! Had to pass on it because of insurance, it breaks my heart still thinking about it..

LOVE them!

Whose is the CSL that seems to sneak into all those pictures? Looks lovely, and very much suits the little towing eye poking through the front bumper too.

This monster of a motorcar belongs to my sister's boyfriend who is also a very good mate of mine, we are heading down to Monte Carlo in four weeks with both the CSL & Type-R taking the scenic route over the mountains which should be epic.

You seem more interested in his car than mine you cheeky buggar!!!!

Great thread Nicky boy, enjoyable read and fantastic photos!

I too have a real soft spot for the EP3 ever since driving your first one all those years ago...fantastic value for money these days and the choice mods you have done have only improved an already fantastic car.

Bring on this trip to the South of France....!

I had the exact same car. Same colour, same "premier" edition etc. The interior was absolutely stunning, I loved it. I had a Supersprint b pipe imported and fitted, sounded lovely.

Great car mate, enjoy.
