Some previous repairs years ago showing a few imperfections. So had the quarter sorted, including a couple of stone chip scabs on the roof. Hard work now starts with a full paint detail to match it all and bring it back to life.

Love the car brilliant job. If Ford made one of those now there are a lot of us that would buy one instantly!

Does it drive well on the road too or have you set it up for the track and just tolerate it on the road for testing/getting there and back?

This looks fantastic. I have an RS powered Transit Connect, but it’s wrong wheel drive! I’ve always had a soft spot for the YB too, after having had a YB powered Caterham when common sense was lacking. Keep the updates coming.

A bit of both really. On B roads it’s a little rough due to all the rose joints and coilovers, but on motorways and track it’s a dream. To be fair it spends more time going to the Ring than anywhere else these days, but I’m happy with that. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Fantastic. I really must make some time to do some ring trips in 21. Do you do any uk days in it too?

How has it performed at the ring? I know these cars take quite a bit of commitment to drive quick smile Hope to get my escort cosworth there one day.

Haven’t improved on 8:05 as of yet, always busy on touristfahrten days. But it’s in the 7’s, but will take some more guts because it is a bit of a handful. But it’s fun and driving there and around the area it’s a pleasure. Hopefully doing a last minute trip soon.

I used to do a lot of shows and tracks in the UK, but time isn’t much of an option anymore. So I normally just plan for euro trips with it.

Some minor upgrades in the interior, mainly to cover some marked flocking. But a nice tribute to some contributing tuners. First winter no mechanical upgrades needed....touch wood!

Birthday today, still in lockdown, found out we're in Tier 3, Christmas/New Year and my mam's 60th birthday on Dec. 31st is cancelled due to lockdown issues and my crap NHS shift rotations .

So, cheered myself up by spending some time fitting this mount  Car is now fully rose jointed or solid mounted. Not a soft bush in sight! smile

Engine bay is looking good - I hope you are able to get out end enjoy a few slippery roundabouts over winter wink

Seeing less of this shape Focus about lately. Can't be long until ST170's become desirable. I looked at one a while ago but rust issues and a high tax band put me off.

Is there much else you want to do to it? It seems as complete as it can be now!

Yeah it’s a shame a lot are just left to rot.

No, just off the road over winter and do a few jobs here and there. Hopefully 2021 will have more ring trips in store.
