What a week you've had, Pete. The Daytona is dazzling. You always pick the best specs. I guess the breakdowns in the classics are character flaws shall we say and it's what makes ownership more interesting and amusing (makes for a good laugh after) and increases your knowledge on how these vehicles work (and don't work) which other collectors and enthusiasts can learn from.

I love the way this thread has brought the PH community together. What an extraordinary journey you've had so far which has touched so many lives along the way.

Have you thought about penning your memoirs? Auto-biography?

Just noticed you joined PistonHeads 10 years ago Pete.

What car did you have back then?

Funnily enough I’ve just googled ‘what super car came out in 2009’ and at the top of the list was an LFA smile

stttttttt!!!! Was it 10 years ago?

That’s crazy. I’m just celebrating 10 years with my wife this month too.

Hmmm what did I have 10 years ago?
I’m pretty sure it was a Bentley GT, AMV8 Prodrive, L322 Range Rover and an E92 M3.
I’m positive that’s what I was running as a fleet at the time.
Oh to be in my mid twenties again.......loved it, I owned my twenties.
Only stayed in 1 night a week, lived on 4 hours sleep a night at most. Great times

So still an impressive fleet before you became sensible and started buying even more expensive metal, just ones that can appreciate smile

Good to see you enjoyed your 20s with the wealth you kinda have now but with going out added in too.
Seem to get a lot of people who don’t go out and spend money solely on cars or people who just go out and get wasted, live at home and live weekend to weekend hehe

I’ve been in a serious relationship since 18, never had the mad car yet and didn’t even bother drinking.
A mk7 Fiesta ST when I was 26 but I wouldn’t mind an M3 in the future. E46 was the dream but they seem to be appreciating in value now for a good one.

Spotted this today at Sports Cars in the Park and thought of you Pete. Not a Ferarri nerd at all but think it's a 330? Certainly a little rough and ready, looked like a barn find from Forza Horizon haha.

Also chucked a couple of my little Fiat (the Xmas present to myself you commented on a few months ago) as I know you're a fan.

There was a photo of Enzo sat in the car in the rear window. A chap stood looking at it was telling us that it was Enzo’s own car at one point. Whether that’s true or not I cannot say, only passing on what I was told.

I spotted the same car and was about the come in here and ask what it was. It's not even been cleaned since it came to the same show last year. It's a slow resto .. ??
Mine was the Giulia Quadrifoglio 2 cars further down.

Edit: no idea why the picture is that way round...

Was yours the dark red with the carbon? If so we spoke as you were coming in, you told me yours was the only one there. Not sure if you remember?

No that wasn't mine. I saw the one with the glued on carbon and wind deflectors, driving gloves on the dash..... Each to their own.
Mine was the TriCoat red right Infront of the main Hall gates. Just next but one to the old fezza.
There was 3 Quadrifoglio there. Including a 19plate solid Alfa red on the Alfa stand.

Ahh ok. The guy I mentioned took great pride in me telling that he had the only Guilia QF at the whole show - I think he'll have been a little disappointed haha!

Pete, do you know of anything related to brain injuries or illnesses whereby counselling or just any help for mental health might be involved?

I'm currently studying to be a counsellor and I'm about to go on placement to get my 100 hours in before I'm qualified but I'd love to be involved before I'm qualified in the mental health sector. If I could be working in it or volunteering alongside my placement then it'd be amazing and your journey strikes a chord with me as well as your outlook on life as most of us in here come in to enjoy.

If you (or anyone else in here) know of anywhere I could possibly offer my services either paid or voluntary then I'd gladly see what I can do, I'd love to help in any way if possible.

If not then no worries but I just thought I might try and ask. I'm based in St. Helens but it's not a problem to travel if needed.

Awh mate that’s mega, well done and thank you for giving your work life to helping those with mental health issues.
Your best bet is to look at the specialist hospital in Walton, Liverpool. Very close to you.

https://www.merseycare.nhs.uk/our-services/a-z-of-...

There’s lots of variations of brain injuries so unless you want to study forever I’d be very selective on what you want to study. The biggest symptom of brain injury is personality disorder and a lack of cognitive reasoning.
Then there’s PTSD and the copious amounts of anxiety, plus the fact that epilepsy is a huge byproduct of surgery.

I’m currently experiencing depersonalisation which the first few times it happens it’s literally terrifying, but after reading a poem by Parisian poet Rumi called ‘The guest house’ I’m thoroughly enjoying that feeling of depersonalisation.
It’s super hard to explain depersonalisation, kind of like trying to explain a colour to a blind person. So I’d imagine this is extremely hard to deal with as a counsellor.
Looking at helping those that are suffering from mental health issues by training in CBT would be a huge help to the every growing community of those suffering.
I could talk about the intricacies of the human mind forever and I’m sure lots of people on here are thinking “FFS just talk about cars” haha. So I’ll just say thank you for helping those less fortunate. Please email me if you need to know anything more.

Just to bring things back on track for a little while. I’ve been invited to Modena for a special premiere of the newest special model that Ferrari has to offer. No one knows anything so I’ve heard everything from that it’s going to be a V12 to it’ll be a V8 twin turbo. All I do know is that it’ll be a mini LaFerrari with over 900hp and will cost circa £560,000 as a base price. Looks like it’ll be limited too. Noice.

I was told it’d either be a v12 or a v8 but no way was it going to be a v6. Now I’ve just read that Ferrari have confirmed it will definitely be a v6!!!!

I can only assume there would be two massive turbos and some sort of electric motor if that's the case? Maybe 4wd?
