Any laptimes? Know you not supposed to wink
I didn't get any of my times sadly, but my friend was down to one minute, recon I would be maybe 2-3 seconds slower I was looking after the car as well as driving and forgot to get one of the others to time me.
Bearing in mind we are on 7 year old tyres that were only put on to set the car up and gently run around I recon we will have a fair bit more to come.

Also got the car on the scales and its 580kg...........
That makes a mockery of modern small cars!
It does .... my Golf R was 1477kg, also the cage in the imp i went a bit overkill on and made bigger than I needed and from steel.

Hi Guys, little update but what with holidays and other things I haven't had much time for the car, plus not a lot if anything to do on it now.

We went through a set of rear shoes at brands last time out so have now fitted Mintex race compound shoes and the appropriate front pads to match.
I have also fitted an adjustable brake bias valve as I wasn't totally convinced that the front brakes were doing much.
One issue that did arise is that the oil pressure sender or gauge is reading low, we have fitted another gauge to compare and confirm no issue with the engine, but i am still waiting for a new sender to come into stock.

We are running the car this Saturday 10th at Goodwood if anyone keen to have a look.

As normal a few pictures below .....

The only bias adjusters i have had a good experience with are made by AP racing.

Did that come with a pressure drop chart?

Nothing so glamorous ..... small cardboard box ....
We are still playing with some ideas at the moment, hopefully the new pads and shoes should be a big improvement.

Hi Guys, really good day out yesterday and car ran very well.

Have ordered a new 4th gear as the one fitted is far to low for the big circuits and we were running out of revs everywhere.

Few photos below from yesterday ....

I must say how immaculately turned out it is and it sounded so clean coming past the pits, i really can’t remember the last time i saw an imp running at goodwood! to have yours and the Bevan imp running together would be an absolute treat to a massive imp fan like myself!
Thank you Sir .............. I think a Hartwell v Bevan duel could be on the cards early next year ...... watch this space

We were so lucky with the weather especially as I only have slicks for the car currently.
The picture above lifting the wheel was taken on Saturday but you needed to be quick lol

I have been a little overwhelmed by the amount of attention and love there is for this little car, I have been lucky enough to of had and have some lovely cars but this is on another level, everyone has a story about an IMP ....

I can’t remember now, wasn’t frasier imps blue and white colour scheme ?
Yellow and white .... not sure but team Bevan can confirm will give him a shout ...
I’m not home now but if you look back to my programme I think Ray Calcutt entered in the 72 TT and should show team entry

Just been sent this fabulous photo from the opposition (Team Bevan) where my car finished second in class to the works NSU at the Jim Clark trophy at Hockenheim 1975.
