Also to add, get a proper alignment when everything's done.

All well and good bolting parts on but pay good money to get it set up correctly to get the fult benefits of what you've done to the car.

Right well the last 24hrs have been a blast ! Love driving this thing on the road. Went out for a good hoon this morning with a little tail out action. Had the GoPro set up but it ran out of battery 30seconds in banghead

However I shall do the route again this afternoon or next saturday morn' with a charged Camera, It really gives an idea of how the car sound cloud9

The jobs I got done yesterday :

Rear Pads and ARB Bushes looking a little past it hehe

New vs Old

My immense skills produced this smile

I also stripped and painted the door bar as it was looking rather crap.

Also took it food shopping.....BecauseShoppingCar

I'm also very suprised at the fuel economy of the car when driving in a calm and collected manor... must be well over 30mpg.

I recently got about 39mpg on a run to bexhill from home, which I was happy with. Get about 25-30 around town, which is liveable.

That's the reason I bought mine, 10mpg from the Porsche was killing me.

Must be even better stripped bare.

Video uploading now.

Havn't clue who is driving. Also a nice little slide to turn it around by who ever was driving......

Such a shame the first video well didn't record, aweosme run out with more slidey action due to cold and dampness.

Just realised you can also here the pops and bangs in the video hehe

We decided against coilovers that arn't £1300odd new as many horror stories of thing collapsing under load on track etc.

So we have ordered Tein S Tech Springs that make things rather stiff and low.

Spec :
-37mm Front and -38mm Rear
Spring Rates of 140lb F and 269lb R

I have also ordered a pair of camber bolts, this combined with a complete suspension refresh and re paint/poweder coat/rust protectionm and the strut braces we have coming to us will make a perfect package when set up properly.

We are leaving the dampers for nows the damping is spot on for the weight of the car just needs heavier springs so that should be spot on for road/track car.

If you're sorting the suspension get in touch with Luke at Pacific Works. He makes a custom brace for the front suspension that sits under the car and provides rigidity between key points. Can't remember all the details but could be worth doing on your track car so you might want to ask him about it.

you seem to have got the hang of it, it would not require much to have it ready for 750mc MR2 series, good racing and a friendly bunch.

I've already told him that biggrin. Upgrade the engine to rev 3 spec and you are pretty much there. I think he is just chicken... hehe (I'm not trying to goad you into entering biggrin)

Unfortunatly we require a little to much :
Different cage
Tyres
Rev2 car so down on power etc to rev3
To heavy we are at 1200kg's with a splash of petrol, championship tin tops are at sub 1100kg.

The thought has crossed my mind, might rent one a car from Rogue at somepoint.

Shouldn't have done that,

What an awesome and helpful guy Luke is, spoke for a good length of time about best set up for our needs etc.

The under brace he fabricates sounds epic aswell as a few other little bits.

Sorry for my vagueness but it was the under brace I was referring to before.

Luke is a great guy though -he only works on SW20s and not based too far from us either. I'm surprised you hadn't found him yet!
