This is mine. '13 model. 10 yrs old in March but has been semi retired since 2019. It comes out when the snow arrives. Kept In a garage otherwise. In the last two years its had

Timing belt
New brake discs etc all around
New rear camera
New Exhaust sensor
New Continental summer and winter sets of rubber

It has 138,000km on the clock.

My question is (and s100 im sorry for hijacking your thread) should i keep it. The reason i ask that we have a prius plus as the primary kid hauler. its safe solid and boring. Herself would like to swap both for an electric, for example a Solterra. However herself doesnt like the price tags of the new cars.

I never realised there was so much love for this gen of the Legacy. I tended to think it was crap because of what others said. But i really do like mine.

I'm sorry I totally missed this. That's awesome. How long have you had it and did you import it? Must have been one of the first in the country assuming you're in the UK?

Mine is still awesome. It's been a year now and I still adore it. I even got flashed on the motorway the other night at 90....I'm awaiting my post and a nice picture.....It was utterly filthy tho, how good are those cameras?

Not much else to report at this time. I was bored the other day and pulled out some wiring that was stuck on the inside of the windscreen, something to do with either Japanese TV or toll road stuff. Anyway, I snipped it all off and tucked it back in the A pillar. I've no idea where it all runs to!

Off to Harry Potter studios next week which will be my longest drive for some time. It's done just over 5000km since it's last service, and the intervals are 3750 miles, which is 6000km so it's booked in for an oil change in Feb along with replacement top mounts as mine are cracked now they're finally back in stock.

Good to hear you're still enjoying it. By previous Legacy was a JDM import that had masses of aftermarket electonics, including a roof mounted TV. It made replacing the stereo much harder than it should have been!

Sadly the cameras are pretty good... and if the software can't read it instantly somebody has to go and all the cars registers of that make, model and colour... Let's hope the operator is a Subaru fan.

Good to see it getting used and piling on the miles.

That's not ideal. It happened on Wednesday 18th about 2100. You have to be contacted within 14 days iirc? So if nothing by the end of the week I should be okay you'd think.... Let's see...

Good to see it’s all still running as it should! thumbup

Regarding service intervals, mine was always every 10,000km or thereabouts - and that led a hard urban life in a (usually) hot country with no probs. Never used any oil or coolant between servicing.

When I sold it, it was just on 8yo and about 137,000km/85,000mi I think. If we hadn’t outgrown it, I doubt I’d have ever sold it.

Just under 2 weeks since ordering, the postman arrived this morning.

Will be another two weeks before fitting as I didn't expect them to turn up that quickly!

Nice, much cleaner than mine biggrin

Where are you sourcing your top mounts from, ICP?

I think I'll replace all of mine when I fit the springs...getting more expensive!

Yeah they've come from ICP. Were on backorder for quite a while but arrived at the garage a few weeks back. Hopefully that's all for this visit (along with fresh oil)

I think they are the same as the BRZ top mounts, I found these...there are matching rear sets too. Obviously over twice as much as the ICP versions lolz

I've no idea how much mine were as the chap at the garage ordered them in for me.

I've just emailed you, but if anyone else is in the same boat in the future, the part numbers you need are ST20380EZ010 for the rear and ST20330EZ010 for the front, for cars with the 5EAT gearbox. The manual version has different front springs, with the reference ST20330EZ000.

Thanks Simon...the ones I purchased were listed as from an auto-wagon, so they should be correct; I've scanned the springs for part numbers and there is nothing stamped on them.

I can't find any on mine but they have coloured paint markings on them, I wonder if that denotes which is which? I assume the auto ones have a higher spring rate due to the weight of the box? I guess the others might sit a little lower, so win win for you really.
