Yes it has sunk in how completely stupid the OP is being. Thank you for clearing that up.
Everyone knows, including the OP. Are you honestly saying you didn't realise, so needed to come here to remind us all?As with others on here, this should be the point where you say "Fair enough, I do get it. Each to their own OP, good luck with it all" and move on.
Instead and as demonstrated many times on these forums, to satisfy some utterly bizarre lust for internet nastiness, you are trying to be clever and are having another dig.
Just move on and pick on someone else.

This is a thread about someone being completely stupid just for the hell of it and gaining some experience along the way.
Whilst it's true that everybody gets different things from this section If you derive any pleasure from that then it casts serious doubts on your intelligence.Personally I see this section as a chance for people to entertain, to write an article which people want to read because they get something out of it. A story must have structure; a beginning, background (an introduction), a middle and an end (a conclusion) with good pictures, maybe some highs and lows and humour thrown in for good measure.
The best threads on here have that, this ^^ does not so will always antagonise those with any intelligence causing frustration and dismay.
The very best writers and entertainers on here write the article off screen and only publish it when the job is nearing an end or has ended, that way the reader can sit down and read the story through in a reasonable time frame to gain satisfaction from it.
Can you not understand that?

“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
Kurt Vonnegut.
I subscribe to this, we have (hopefully) a few years to fill and not all of it needs to have a point, and even follies like this have lessons to take away, Slow is learning stuff and is prepared to have a go.
I am sure he could lease a small hatchback, but that isnt his thing, he loves manky old luxury cars, he likes messing with them and he tells us about his adventures.
Yes, its a bit daft, so what ? he isnt harming anyone and is happy as a pig in st when up to his elbows in crusty metal.

"Will always antagonise those with any intelligence and cause dismay"
Why would you want to log on and get a daily dose of this when you have a choice not to?
Perhaps the feelings of dismay get you through the day?
You can make things as complicated as you like based on some text and images on a screen; I prefer not to.
Call me unintelligent if you like
You need to get used to it, or ignore it.
If you can't ignore it, you are here just to cause arguments.
Keep up the good work slow, ignore the minority, if it's your passion then go with it I personally think jealousy plays a big part in a lot of the negative posts maybe some people grew up in a very controlled environment unable to express themselves and therefore unable to accept that other people can have fun. Sad really.

Jealousy?I'm not sure there's much to be jealous of here - an ever growing fleet of rusty sheds, some of which kind of work, some of which are 1 MOT failure from the scrappy and some which will never see the road again.
There's much to be said for tinkering with old cars, but it gets to the point where you're just hoarding stuff for the sake of it.
You know those stories about the old bloke who dies leaving a couple of dozen rotten old hulks in a field that becomes an environmental risk? The OP is well on the way to being one of those.

Who wouldn't want a field full of projects, some projects succeed, others lead to new projects and others fail, just like in working life and the real world.
Based on your posting history you just seem to be a negative sort, perhaps middle aged in a dead end job and envious of the Slows youth?
It's a forum and you are entitled to voice your option, however moronic but are you to simple to understand that you and the OP clearly have different priorities and interests.

I do think the 'jealous' ones are those encouraging - not the other way around.
It's almost like they're living out their own fantasies via someone on the internet.
Nothing wrong with that. I have no desire to bugger about with a 1972 Shadow, or if I do then I certainly don't want one in the garage/garden/driveway. However it's interesting to look at them. Before the internet, car magazines used to cover this. It's called having an interest. I read loads of resto stories about Moggy Minors, Mk2 Jags, and the rest. Did I enjoy them? Yes. Did I follow suit? Not exactly. My resto histories have been much more modest - a 2CV that needed a new floor, which I sorted, but ignored everything else, a Spitfire that got a few repairs between MoTs and a Caterham 7 that just needed a bit of TLC. So am I jealous of Slow? Not really. Interested in what he's doing, yes. Not sufficiently interested to invest that time myself, so it's a way of indulging the interest without actually having to grovel around under a car. Nothing wrong with that. It's almost like they're living out their own fantasies via someone on the internet.

The whole point about Readers' Cars is that you read about what other people like and care about. It's almost like they're living out their own fantasies via someone on the internet.
I'd never heard of the thing you bought until you posted it in your thread. Do I want one? No. Do I like it? Not much. But I'm interested in it and interested in your experiences with it. It's your thread. If I have something disparaging to say, I keep it to myself.
This is Slow's thread. It's his experiences with his cars. The folk that denigrate and take the piss would be better off just keeping their thoughts to themselves and looking somewhere else if they don't like it. They're certainly not adding anything constructive or helpful.

By the power of PistonHeads I command you to sell all your cars and buy an MX5.
I think he's already got one of those...lessee now, not sure if it was the second barn from the left, or the third. Not sure if it *all* went in there, it was missing a few engine bits and the interior trim. Give me a couple of days, I'm sure I can turn it up. I *do* know it wants a sill. Probably 2.Trabi601 said:

Well, yes, but it isn't jealousy, it is interesting to read about, didnt think that is a crime, you make it sound like making the Div kid at school do something dangerous, like that kid who would eat Daddy long Legs for 20p.It's almost like they're living out their own fantasies via someone on the internet.
I dont have the space for old bangers, have had a few goes but generally not great working on your path.

I didn't own the mx5 which is in some random pictures I have online. Was my mums boyfriends, I was too tall to drive it hahaI'm amazed this thread had turned into people more focused on me than the car. If I was any other person people would say good work and goodluck. But because I have a few projects I'm not allowed too. I thought this was a forum for people who like cars to talk about and show their cars.
Can I have a mod block the main culprits?(is this even possible) Sick of having to read the same crap from them. I'm happy so fk them and their boring lives.
