Very generous of ford to let you do so much to a car that if my memory serves me you haven't taken delivery of yet.
Its only like a retail customer asking for bits painting on their new car before they take delivery, whats the issue??neilbauer said:
I don't have an issue, just thought they'd make you wait until the car was yours. But I also didn't think they would do that for a retail customer, no offence intended.
Dont know about other dealers but i know if a customer requests parts painting eg wheels or grilles its all done before they pick the car up, plus its just handy that i work there so easier for me i suppose. No offence taken mate

I have the white mirror covers still and work at a Ford bodyshop so it can just be painted white again no problem if need be.
Until you get a trained eye looking over it and see the roof has been painted , which will set alarm bells off , and I would run away rapidly from a car with a painted roof specially a brand new one . But that's just me 106 gti said:

Oh no you better cover your eyes you wont want to see this.....I used to work for a vehicle distribution company and you wouldn't believe what gets repaired/repainted, new roof skins/quater panels, full repaints after rail spark damage, reshells after a car has been dropped from a transporter, and all that is before its even got to a dealership!

I only said it as I've been a sprayer for 29 yrs so do look out for painted area's on cars .I do love the look of these cars and while my RS is in being serviced I shall no doubt have a look round the st in the showroom as long as the salesman doesn't pester me ....lol

Oh and got the roof and mirror covers painted the same colour as the wheels today, really chuffed with it.
Oh I do like that! I'm getting lots of ideas from you....that I'll copy! I just looked back at your original Molten Orange ST and have, for the 1st time, seen the interior. I have the leather/orange interior in my white ST, which I'm collecting on Thursday.
Do you have the standard stereo? If so, is it any good?

Id sell the RS and buy the ST, just as much fun for half the running costs
NO CHANCE , I've wanted an RS since they came out and 2 years in I still love it , the only thing that might tempt me away would be a 280 plus RS fiesta .Edited by 106 gti on Sunday 9th February 08:45
