Thanks for asking.
I am quite fond of traditional magazines. There is part of me that wonders if it might be worth seeing if a traditional magazine fancies the restoration story and feature.
Sentimental fool?
Hi OP. I recently stumbled across this thread, skim read the lot and bookmarked as I truly admire your ambition and dedication to the car. Its not all about the £££, smiles per mile is incalculable!! Anyway, onto your point about magazines. I would be very disappointed to not see further updates on your car on PH. I personally think magazines have had their day. I subscribed to EVO for several years, but cancelled about 3 years ago. There just isn't enough value to differentiate from the internet and social media these days IMHO. Take a look what Harry Metcalfe is doing on youtube for example. Infact, I wonder if you should approach him... I am quite fond of traditional magazines. There is part of me that wonders if it might be worth seeing if a traditional magazine fancies the restoration story and feature.

I look forward to further updates.

Serious question.
Learned opinions welcome.
She has a complete, total and huge history. Fully traceable back to new with original invoice.
All and every manual and book and all receipts.
And now she is going to be as near 'brand new' as it is possible to get.
My question : At this moment do I reset the mileage?
Please think carefully before you answer. A reset is a 'marker in time' not a 'con'. But then its still the same car....
Yesterday I asked this question of the man in charge of the restoration he immediately got to the 'nuh' of No. But stopped and went 'eerrmm, mmmmm, oh, I see what you mean. I'd keep it I think'.
So now this question to you lot.
No, absoutely not. It's part of the history. Plus, presumably you have loads of evidence of "nut and bolt rebuild at xx,xxx miles"?Learned opinions welcome.

Hi, what would you like to know?
I have been using her, properly.
Ok..I have been using her, properly.
What was the problem with the engine and did it get resolved without legal action?
How come this thread stopped when everyone was desperate to see the finished article?
Finally...why did B'stard child remove all of his posts from this thread?
Like every other poster here...loved the LC from the day it was launched.
In '90, I remember thinking 17" wheels were just insane.
Our Vauxhall dealer here ran one with the plate SMT 1 as a demo...just stunning.
Very local art dealer had one from new but was stolen when he went to a trade show down south.
So, since '93 never seen one in the flesh...would love to see another one in great condition...

Very off topic and probably a long story but short version
I've removed a lot of posts on a lot of threads, a lot of pictures from my photobucket account and removed all profile information and cars from my garage
I'm now extremely careful what photos I share - lesson learnt
Intriguing post. Can you expand on why, without giving to many specifics about your situation, obvs.I've removed a lot of posts on a lot of threads, a lot of pictures from my photobucket account and removed all profile information and cars from my garage

Someone from PH decided he would “Hunt me down” outside of PH (as a result circumventing a PH rule)
They succeeded with information from my profile and photos I had shared - house number from a wheelie bin in one shot - google maps shot of parking arrangements etc - all very careless of me in hindsight but they certainly had to do a bit of digging thro old posts to do it - when I shared stuff from photobucket rather than thumbsnap.
So whilst I think it was generally harmless (well I hope it was although I didn’t appreciate it at the time) I made a decision to clean up my “internet profile” and make it much harder in future for anyone to do that
I’ve cancelled my Photobucket subscription so in 9 mths that will die too
I also killed an email address I have had for 30 years as they’d got hold of that too (that was probably the easiest part)
So in a nutshell that’s it - be careful what you share there are nutters out there..........

I have always been quite careful with what I post, and have in the past Googled myself to see what is there. Fortunately I share my real name with somebody that has written books, so most of what you find is from him, and anything about me is from the days before i was more careful and so old it is irrelevant.
I binned my photobucket when they went to the subscription model.
Good reminder for people though

What was their intention once they’d found you?
