@BevR

Sunroof issue is 90% solved on mine. The occasional creak over angled driveways etc, but happy to accept it bearing in mind all the other benefits of the car.

My HuD started rattling recently. Kia had one attempt to fix it and it lasted for 6 weeks. I booked it in again and they have decided to approach Kia for a full HuD replacement under warranty. We’ll see how that goes, but it’s apparently a £2500 unit.

So, in summary, very happy with the support from Kia.

Have had the car just over a year now and still smile every time I see it on the drive, and especially every time I start it up - particularly when cold...

Today I spent 2 hours driving the kids all over the place visiting their friends. I couldn’t have been happier:

Aircon on 18, cooled seats, Harmon Kardon tunes, Eco mode. The perfect daily.

Spent the last weekend at a quiet little village not too far from Bristol.

I'm sure it's your car we walked past on the way to the "high street", pointed it out as thought it looked really good.

Quite a coincidence if it is and a lovely place to live smile
Without naming the village, very possible. We are on the way into the centre of the village......

We love it here!

Appreciate the kind words about the car!

So, first wash of the car yesterday since the detail.

Except I barely needed to wash it........

I just hosed it down with the Karcher and it came clean.
Incredible.

A few stubborn fly bloodstains needed a little rub but, other than that, nothing. No tar, no brake dust, all gone.

Long may it last.

No pics as it was drizzling at the time. A completely dry car may reveal more slight dirt, but overall very, very pleased.

Kamei Delphin 370 Roofbox, which I had for the vRS.

Thule aluminium Wingbars and Thule Edge Clamps for the Kia. Pretty pleased.

French trip was cancelled for obvious reasons, so a UK road trip beckons....

Will post pics and report back on how the Stinger performs.

I had a Merc detailed and was similarly amazed - incredible how the muck just runs off.
Sat in a Stinger again today... test drive imminent smile

Andy, good luck with the test drive. Try Eco and Sport modes, as they show the car’s two sides best.

Smart is effectively similar to comfort unless you drive really hard to make it engage Sport.

Have fun!

Hi Raj, if you mean the 2019 updates, then definitely. All are discussed further up in the thread.

If you mean the recently announced full facelift due later this year, depends on your needs and the depth of your pocket.

The updated infotainment looks good as do the interior tech and comfort enhancements. Outside styling, I’m not so sure. That’s up to the individual I guess.

The new exhaust releases an extra 3bhp, so no real difference.

It will certainly sound better than the pre-2019 exhaust which was pretty muted, but the 2019-on exhaust is nicely judged and, I think, sounds fantastic.

Overall, I don’t think the changes make it worth me upgrading. If you can afford a new one later this year, then it will be a fantastic car. Keep an eye on the price. If it goes up, the luxury car tax is likely to apply to the 3.3 V6.

Thanks. Was waiting for the 2021 model. Unfortunately the current infotainment screen is dated for me. I like the new interior setup, just keeps it up to date, but looking how advanced tech changes are, it will look ancient in say 3 yrs time. I wonder if there is a retrofit/bespoke screen out there?

I'm disappointed by the measly +3bhp. I thought at least 10bhp would have been easily achievable? Plus in the States in the Hyundai equivalent they are using the 3.5L lump.

Not sure the changes will make a discernible difference in sales?

Yep, any interior set up will age quickly these days. Yes, the 2019 screen looks dated, but functionality is very good. Apple CarPlay allows me the use of Waze and Spotify, for example.

With the Harman Kardon at 720 watts, I am very happy with the audio side.

I can also dictate my texts / WhatsApp and listen to incoming messages.

The long list of included options on the 2017-2020 models will help them to not feel too old very soon when you consider them against the opposition cars. Many Audi S4 and BMW 440i cars will be less well specced. Those that have comparable options will have been £15-20k more new.

For me, and perhaps I would say this, I think the 2019 & 2020 models are possibly the sweet spot so far.

Let’s wait to see how the 2021 car stacks up in reality and price-wise.

I’m not sure sales in the UK will ever be anything other than slow. The badge is probably the main reason for that.

Enthusiasts, such as those on here, may start picking up 3 or 4 year old models once prices drop a little further, especially as there will still be lots of warranty left.

I've been considering these a used buy. Had a good look round one today and was very impressed.

Given the rarity there aren't too many very low mileage ones to choose from and it's also quite difficult to get to see all the colours in the flesh.

Saw a grey (silver) car (as per the OP's) and it looked very good. None for sale that meet my criteria though.

Red seems far and away the most popular colour. Also like the white - anyone got a white car - it looks very bright in pictures ?

My M4 CP is now nearly two years old (but with only 7K miles - my wife loves that fact, not!), and I'm now wondering 'what next'. This thread, and more specifically your car (but I'll go with red interior if that's still possible) has me seriously considering one - I don't give two hoots about the badge.

I just need to interact with a decent dealer - my nearest one was an absolute stshow when I first looked at changing my 440i - I ended up in the M4 as a result.

I love the thought of being a little 'different' in such a good looking car.

East Hertfordshire, in a village called, er, Much Hadham. Nearest towns are Bishops Stortford, Ware, Hertford.

Nearest Kia dealer is in Harlow (the stshow place), but that's a place I don't visit if I can help it.

Any recommendation welcomed!

Well, I bought mine from Tower Hill Kia in Chipperfield, Herts, despite living in the SW.

Odono (on here) might be worth a PM, as he has bought two Stingers from there and has had extensive dealings with them.

I can’t vouch for their after sales service, but he may be able to give you a good idea as to their competence.

Thanks for that - much appreciated!

Chipperfield is a about as far away as it's possible to be whilst still in Herts, but still close enough to be viable - shall speak to them.

Cheers.

I presume you will be already be aware, but the Stinger is a very different car to the M4. In comparison it will feel particularly refined and uneventful, if you have got used to the M side of things. Not necessarily a bad thing if that's what you want, but worth bearing in mind.
