In a strange sort of way it's quite interesting to see it how it is.
Gives some idea of how they were put together.
Yeah it’s interesting, especially seeing how much grime is behind the panels. They’re bonded on with a constant bead of sealer aren’t they? Must be some gaps here & there!Gives some idea of how they were put together.
Often wonder where my old V6 is these days, crazy to think mine owed me about £7k and it was mint with sub 20k miles!

No idea on the bonding but it's had 18yrs to collect grime behind them
Prices have certainly got silly, as they have on many cars.
I haven’t checked the prices for a while but I’m sure they’re a lot now.Prices have certainly got silly, as they have on many cars.

Interesting seeing the extra width on the sills there too. I still remember backing mine into my garage... opened the door and couldn’t get out of it! Used to have to park it really tight on the NS to get in and out ok.
Never had another car where so many want to talk about it when you pulled you somewhere. I thought my old GTR was popular (mind you that was usually is it ‘chipped’? My mates got one that’s 1000bhp) but the V6 topped it by quite some margin.
Almost there.
All that remains to do is to fit wheel studs instead of bolts, re-fit the rear spoiler and for the wrap to go back on.
Exhaust sorted, with the exit pipes going from 1.75" to 3" dia there wasn't the room to fit exhaust tips. No worries there though as with the pipework being the size it is there isn't any need for them.

Quite often I looked at the back end and wondered how it'd look with all on show. Most of the Trophy cars ran like that and fancied the idea. It's a Marmite thing but I always thought the car looked a bit soft on the back end.
One thing that stopped me was the potential costs however, once the back end had been quite badly damaged I decided that was the time to go for it. The rear bumper was only being held together by the wrap so needed extensive repairs and the exhaust was a bit out of shape. So whilst they were being repaired they may as well be sorted.
Had a few chats with Scott at SGMotorsport and this is how it turned out.
