Not keen on the rusty orange colour at all personally - quite surprised how popular it is.

And the geezer with leather driving gloves made me chuckle!

Very closely matched on the short sprint / tight cornered welsh roads.....
Would expect the torque happy engine of the 1 to have the legs on the M3 low down and the roles reverse higher up as the revs stretch, but be even ish overall.

The torque and weight does have the edge low down especially against a MT M3 but a little hard to judge on the roads we was using and following, the M3 was DCT equipped and running 18's with mich pilot supersports which give better grip levels over the pilotsport ps2's on the 1M, but then my 1M is running uprated KW coilovers.

It was a good trip, turned some heads having 7 1M's and 1 M3 in convoy, even one strange lady on her mountain bike in the valley asking why we all had the same cars lol

No worries, we enjoyed making them biggrin We are now looking at IOM next and then a group Euro drive next summer, but Wales is always a nice drive to get away from the hustle of London, and easy/close enough to do over a weekend......But made it a bit more enjoyable with a flock of M cars biggrin

Great cars, great shots.

Had to tinker with this one. That direction sign in front of the white car was playing hell with the old OCD!!

Then it snowballed a little. Hope you don't mind?

It's a great run, we did it last in my wife's old corsa vxr, which wasn't bad on those roads but she had some work done to it so chassive and power upgrades came in handy but then I also did a run through the black mountains etc one 2am while covered in heavy fog and rain after taking a wrong turn after a coast to coast drive around Ireland, got off the ferry at Holly Head and ended up driving back to London right through the guts of Wales, bit of an experience. Anyways that camera is small and compact and sure takes a good vid while on the go.

The keeping dirty is the easy part this time of year and the hard part is bracing the cold to wash it laugh
