Great project, just read the whole thread.
On page 2 you asked about the blob of braze on the piston,
could that have been added whilst engine was assembled in the factory, to bring pistons to the same weight ?
Thanks for that, forgot all about the pistons but good point! On page 2 you asked about the blob of braze on the piston,

Not too much fresh to report but herewith recent picture.
Thanks for positive comments. This weekend we worked on the final aeroscreen height and shape. These will be tinted perspex.
Below is version 2 of the GF boot, this one has increased rigidity and now has added venting for the engine bay heat which can be an issue on these cars, inspiration from Bugatti EB110 SS intake vents

I have a car with bonnet vents from the factory to help extract engine heat - the problem with them is they allow rain water in when the car is parked - this leads to all sorts of issues that whilst easy to fix aren't always obvious until you drive the car after a few weeks of not being used - chronic miss-fires due to water in the plug wells is favorite (Well not my favorite but pretty bloody frequent)I'd consider covering or a deflector underneath to divert water away from anything sensitive

Any update on this? intrigued to see how the car is coming along!
Not much to update currently as Peter has been making a modified mould for the rear cover and has been on a well deserved holiday. I hope to go over and help out with it soon and we are aiming to have it done and hit the road early summer.
