It's an age thing, I remember Cibie Supers, along with Carlos Fandango wide wheels, bubble arches, Cherry Bomb silencers, Peco Big Bore exhausts, CB radios, window slats.........oh those were the days, when as a teenager it was a rite of passage to buy a car that was as much filler and chicken wire as bodywork, servicing it was an afterthought whereas "souping it up" was important, scraping it through an MOT each year if you hadn't crashed it in the meantime, and evening meets in car parks were all about what you'd done to your car not paid someone else to do for you!!!
Born in 1970, teenager during the 80's.
Another mileometer moment yesterday, I doubt the Focus will do many more miles this year now, mostly going to and from work. It will have done around 11000 miles this year by the time New Year comes, though I need to get it in after Christmas to get a grumbling front wheel bearing changed. I'm also hoping to get up to Northumberland at some point to see the family, so that will be another 300+ miles added.

Yeah it's all done and sorted, much quieter now. I used the same mobile mechanic that did the cambelt. We move house tomorrow so the Focus will be doing a bit of running backwards and forwards between houses, we have a removals lorry coming but the smaller stuff can go in the cars.
Good luck with the move!!!
