IIRC you have a PMAS as well centurion?
Well, the filter is manufactured for PMAS by S&B, so its best to use the S&B oil. Every filter needs a different amount of oil to be correctly lubricated. Too little risks the filter not cleaning properly, too much risks killing the air flow sensor, you need to be approx. correct with the amounts.
On the PMAS filter for the S550 GT its 54g on the main filter body, and a further 7g on the smaller inverted cone section on the nose of the CAI (otherwise known as the powerstack)
I know it needs oil! I was wondering what the powerstack was! Well, the filter is manufactured for PMAS by S&B, so its best to use the S&B oil. Did you need to put it in some sort of spray bottle?

Ive ordered a set of OEM hood heat extractors from Newtakeoff in the USA. Outrageously cheap at $40, but the down side is US shipping only. Ive managed to piggy-back on to someone elses Stackry shipment, which will get them to me at a reasonable price, but will take ages (months at a guess). Ive also ordered these directly from Starkey Products:
If you want to cancel that order and have the parts sent to me, I'll happily forward them on to you. Would you now, with the benefit of knowing some of the very poor quality issues and lack of service by Ford, consider buying another car from them? It seems like you've suffered a litany of quality issues that the manufacturer has been unengaged with and hesitant to address. Your experience, via a blog or similar, might make interesting reading for the higher-ups at Ford who aren't aware of the front-line experience with their 'flagship' model.
