Not really an update, but a funky pic lifted from the 'I have been doing a bit of painting' thread.

A reminder of better weather, but hopefully it won't be too long before the roads are no longer salty and we can get out.

About 5 months after its last use, the Spider was fired-up today for some driving action in the glorious sunshine. The car has been on a battery conditioner over the winter but, nevertheless, it starting on the third turn of the key was something of a (welcome) surprise.
What a wonderful little thing it is. Smells great, sounds terrific, and gets smiles and thumbs-up from randomers.

Whilst I was whizzing about the local villages, I passed this Lancia Montecarlo. I went back later to take pictures and the owner popped out for a chat, saying he'd heard my car. We were linguistically challenged but got on well enough to share the delights of ageing Italianana.
I was hoping he'd offer to sell his rather wonderful car to me but he seemed quite keen to keep it for a while yet, to add to his 9 years ownership. Nice chap and a nice little moment for two ageing chaps to talk about their two ageing cars.
