Normally I have both keys on me, typically the one time I didn't because a friend of mine and I were going to the airport to catch a plane was the time it decided to play up. By getting in and out of the car a few times it got it to work and on the way back from the airport after the holiday it was fine and has been fine since, so maybe it was just protesting I was leaving it for a few days, who knows? We went to Krakow and visited Auschwitz while we were out in Poland,a very interesting and moving trip. It was my first trip to Poland and won't be my last.
Next weekend I've a couple of days away in the Focus going to see a couple of old airfields down south then a week or so after that a trip to the tank museum at Bovington is planned, next month I'm also hoping to get down into Somerset with the camera at some point, so all in all the Focus will probably do around 1800-2000 miles over the next 5 weeks or so.

Although I have not been to Auschwitz, I have been to a much smaller site and it was very emotional.
I have heard that if you hold the key right next to the start button it can connect to the key without any battery input - just an idea if you get stuck again!
Thanks I will bear that in mind. I have previously been to Sachsenhausen Concentration camp near Berlin many years ago and as part of this trip we went to the former Ghetto in Krakow, the Schindler factory and the site of the former Plaszow Concentration camp, all of which were interesting and moving sites as well though Auschwitz was the most emotionally draining site.I have heard that if you hold the key right next to the start button it can connect to the key without any battery input - just an idea if you get stuck again!
