I like hearing this, I bet there's many more quietly racking up the miles problem free. I too have previously had great rotary experiences including nearly 3 years in my previous slightly modded 2nd FD RX-7 http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... hence why I've come back and am now on my 3rd!
Just read through your thread, that was a very nice FD mate.Salesy said:
Love the Grey PZ's
I got mine 2 years ago to use as a sprint car. I will be at Goodwood this saturday competing against some other RX8's running list 1B tyres.
When i got the car the compression results were in the low-mid 6's but it started on the button, had it tested again late last year and I'm in the mid 5's but it still pulls like a train and starts on the button. I will have some updated results in a few weeks when it goes for its MOT. The guys at LC Rotary in Orpington look after mine.
Heres a little shot from Goodwood, And no thats not smoke coming from the rear. That was cement dust from an earlier oil spill.

I've never tracked mine, but I imagine it would be very capable in the right hands (not mine )
Well I put my PZ up for sale at the start of last week, and watched it drive away this morning.
Loved owning a RX8, it was an experience I'd say that much, superb handling, great noise from the rotary, lots of toys and a few quirks
Ok so it wasnt a longtermer in the end, but in the 5 months I owned it the only problem I had was losing a center cap, hopefully the new owner will keep that reliability going.
