2018 Jeep Trackhawk
Discussion
I've ordered some suspension parts that will help me bring it back into spec. Currently have too much negative camber but this lot should help:

I've also booked the car in with the tuner for August 27th for it to get everything fitted and tuned. The PCM has to be sent to the States to get unlocked before any tuning can be done so it'll be there for 8-10 days at least. Seriously cannot wait to see what it will run with the Demon blower and interchiller fitted.
I collect the car on Friday from its full PPF and looking forward to seeing it nice and shiny.

I took the TH to the drag strip tonight for the first time. Best time of 11.659 with a pretty average 60ft of 1.723. It was also against a stock 2017 Nissan GT-R and I beat him which was a sweet feeling.
The track was super sticky and I had crazy wheel hop on launch. A definite learning experience and a good benchmark before the work begins.

Loving this; must be an incredible experience when you plant the throttle. I am godsmacked at some of the figures you’ve posted on the pictures! And then you are looking to add a few more ponies; fair play mate, you’re bonkers! Looking forward to seeing how far you take it.

Thanks. I've had the new exhaust fitted last week and it is like the gates of hell open up when planting the throttle. It is honestly insane and ear piercingly loud when near any building or tunnel. I'll try and get it on video over the next few days. Jonesy

I just want to say thank you, thank you for doing all the crazy stuff we'd all like to do, and then sharing it with us.
Haha, my pleasure.Someone asked me the other day why I'm adding so much to the TH and it was an interesting question. I think mainly because I'm in a position to which is a big advantage and secondly because I genuinely want to create a unique Trackhawk. I can't imagine there's going to be too many of them running round with a Demon supercharger, demon cam and everything else planned.
All being well, I'm hopefully adding a 991.1 GT3 RS early next year.

care to share the list of upgrades? i need something to look forward to (on your behalf!)
At this stage:Demon Supercharger (2.7L vs 2.4L Hellcat)
Demon spec camshaft
ID 1050x injectors
Forced Interchiller
Custom tune for the above.
Transmission tune.
Custom carbon steering wheel.
I'll see what boost/HP the above makes and then if enough room to move, we can add a 10% lower pulley which adds 1-2lbs of boost. We'll probably be hitting the ceiling of pump fuel with the above so will have to wait and see. I've been advised to not go above 17-18 PSI on pump fuel and as I don't have reliable access to E85, I'll stick to that advice.
I think it'll sit around 820-850 BHP, not entirely sure as no-one has done the above combination yet. Either way, it should be very close to the 10 second barrier.

Holy
st!
Fair play to, I have a feeling that on the drag strip you will be rotating earth to get to the end, rather than propelling yourself towards it.
10 seconds ish isnjust a stupid number.... I love it!
Any chance you will get build photos from them? Would be great if you could share them as the build happens.
Yep, full diary/photos to follow. The garage is equally as excited I think due it being the first of its kind, especially in Australia.st!

OP thankyou, certainly brightens my drab Monday morning in the office reading about some loony half way round the world who thinks a standard trackhawk just isn't quick enough
a 10 second 1/4 mile time is stupidly quick for a road car, a 10 second 1/4 mile time for a 2 and a half ton SUV is just insane.
please tell me you got a picture of the GTR owners face after you beat him
I think in fairness the only way to sum up the reaction this thing gets is
Amazing stuff keep it up
Haha, I appreciate it. I took a step back and calculated how much I've spent in pursuit of a 1 second quicker ET and it's frankly obsurd but sometimes the sum is greater than its parts.a 10 second 1/4 mile time is stupidly quick for a road car, a 10 second 1/4 mile time for a 2 and a half ton SUV is just insane.

The GTR owner cried a poor launch but given we're both AWD, I wasn't too believing.
Picked up the car today. It's great to have it back, just under 3 weeks since I was last in it.
The workmanship seems spot on, the tuning side of things needs quite a bit of refinement. Due to the power its making, the tuner was struggling with traction on the 2WD dyno. Unfortunately no access to an AWD dyno. I've sent some data off to the States for a renowned HEMI tuner to have a look and get me moving forward.
Anyway, it runs smoothly and makes a very conservative 13 pounds of boost (16 PSI should be possible with setup). I took it for a hit tonight and this was with a passenger. With some refinement to the shift points and other areas, pretty sure this will hit 2.7 to 60MPH and mid 6s for the ton.
Off to a rolling race event tomorrow night. 50 KM/H runs over the 1/4 mile. Plenty of serious cars turn out, 1200+ BHP skylines and HSV cars. Given the Trackhawk's party piece is its launch I'm not expecting much but should still be a great event.

Awesome thing OP. I love these, unfortunately well out of budget.
I follow this guy on Instagram, he is down to a 10.2 1/4, thinks his is the 3rd fastest in the world.

Keep up the good work!
Yep, he's got a proper weapon there. I think he's the quickest TH without spray. I follow this guy on Instagram, he is down to a 10.2 1/4, thinks his is the 3rd fastest in the world.

This just gets better. Will you be posting some vids of the end result?
Most definitely. Tomorrow night I'll grab some in car footage. May try and put the GoPro on the outside if I have time to buy a clamp. On a side note, it is absolutely ridiculously loud. Tuner ended up wearing ear muffs

Holy hell. Just seen this on instagram. I so want one of these, would have to pad out the rear door for the dog though lol
I'd be taking that 0-100 with a very big pinch of salt. He's doing a 9.8 quarter and I'm only a second behind but according to that he's two seconds ahead by 100 mph. The logger is using wheel speed not gps to measure. He's probably high 5s to 100 which is still insanely quick. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
