Did you have to take a loss?
In terms of the insurance world, no, not really. I've been paid out 'very nearly' what I paid for the car back in September.BUT, if I were to buy the same again, it would now cost around £7k more, so in the real world, yes.
Also, I paid two grand in RFL back in September, and if I buy a new car, I'll have to pay that again It was painful enough the first time around.

Think I recognise the crash site! It's not the Sainsbury's between Camberley and Farnborough by any chance is it?
Yep, exactly that spot - Sainburys Watchmoor Park. Thanks for the comments everyone - it's all coming together. Should be doing the paperwork on the new one today, and have a reg number.

Very nice Jon!
My old man went from 17MY Grabber Blue (6sp Auto) to 18MY Lightning Blue (10sp Auto), be interesting to see what you think of the differences (I personally think the 18-19MY is much improved, the changes are more than skin deep).
It will be interesting Ollie... How are you btw?My old man went from 17MY Grabber Blue (6sp Auto) to 18MY Lightning Blue (10sp Auto), be interesting to see what you think of the differences (I personally think the 18-19MY is much improved, the changes are more than skin deep).
Mine are both manual, so the gearbox remains the same. Will be interesting to see the difference taking that out of the equation...

Keeping well thanks. Accident aside, hope all is well with you? Hope this weather holds out for your collection this weekend
Weather is looking good, so fingers crossed. Paperwork is all done now, got the reg number, insurance done, remainder of deposit transferred. Insurance hire car gets collected Friday.
I'm going to be an absolute nightmare for the next two days waiting for collection.

My local Ford dealer. Cheapish fuel at Morrison just down the road. BP at the A6/A421 junction on your way out.
Cheers for that - I'd hope they put enough fuel in it to get me home If not I've bookmarked the Shell at Woburn Rd as a minor detour on the way back to the A421 - (I have a Shell fuel card).

Looks great! Quite like the rear spoiler on the new model, suits it well.
I asked re dealer as I saw you are local, never seen a Mustang at Think Ford.
Cheers, yes I like the spoiler - the dealer missed that off the spec originally, so its a freebie too!I asked re dealer as I saw you are local, never seen a Mustang at Think Ford.
My last one came from Think Ford Guildford, Farnborough don't do them - their site really isn't big enough!

That's lovely, if be having two sleepless night if I were you Dr I!
One more sleep to go! Have a busy day today at work, and a busy evening tonight, so it will go quickly. I imagine that tomorrow morning at work will go really slowly though... Then at lunchtime I'm off to Bedford.
Six months to the day... And the old Mustang has re-appeared for sale at a garage in Welwyn Garden City...

That's one low mileage one owner car you wouldn't want. Looks straighter than the last time I saw RK68 OBH though.

Thought I recognised the plate, that dealer is 100 yards away from me and I pass it every day.
Hope the '18 is treating you well.
Funny how these things turn up Ollie! The '18 is lovely, no issues, but hasn't had a great deal of use, only just ticked over 3000 miles... I've booked to take it down to Portugal for Christmas and New Year.Hope the '18 is treating you well.
Hows tricks with you?

I clicked on the link to see how you were getting on and the first thing I saw was a smashed up Pony.
Oh no not again, I thought.
Nope not again, thank goodness! (Touches wood)Oh no not again, I thought.
The new 'Stang hasn't had a great deal of use due to spending a lot of time this summer getting my classic Mini ready for a road trip to Italy... Taking the same Mini for the third year in a row, it's needed a bit of TLC.
The new Mustang will get its trip to Portugal though this winter, so will finally get a chance to properly stretch its legs.
