Hi, what was the time frame from landing in UKto being ready for collection. Cheers
I paid customs on the 15th December. Landed in Southampton the following day. TGT had it back with them the following week. Christmas holidays, then got the car MOT'd and waited for registration. That came through last week. They are doing all the prep work now (full Dinitrol chassis and cavity protection etc) and will be ready to collect on the 1st March. So a good 8 weeks from landing. d_a_n1979 said:

Fantastic news; your patience has been commendableBut thinking of sorting some sort of car port in front of it if I can; would give me a dry space etc
Is yours still booked in with Stevie @ Grinspeed
Well, it has landed. First impression is that it's really clean and straight. I know what needs doing to make it perfect. Will start the deep clean and detail on it this weekend and then get it in for the belt swap and full service.
Not even one flat intercooler fin. Got to love a fresh JDM car

Looks really nice...
So much so, its got me looking at them as a potential next motor.
I really like their looks and never really been in Subaru's, but I do like these.
How are the autoboxes for driving?
I've not driven it yet! find out after its service. Only taxing it from April. Wheels getting done on Thursday this week then I can arrange to get the belts done and re-mapped. So much so, its got me looking at them as a potential next motor.

Looks great, mine still has that blue film on the door plates, must be popular to not remove them.
I notice you've got a front strut brace, I assume that's part of the tbSTI package ?
What's the plan in terms of mapping for UK fuel? Staying close to stock power or looking to free up a few extra horses ?
Yes, it's an STI flexi brace. There's a joint in the middle. Something fancy I presume they came up with. I notice you've got a front strut brace, I assume that's part of the tbSTI package ?

You don’t need to map for UK fuel anymore. The 99 Ron offered by Shell and Tesco is perfectly fine.I notice you've got a front strut brace, I assume that's part of the tbSTI package ?

It'll do fine on BP 97 too... But VPower would be best
Not sure how it'll be on standard fuel; I know my import Honda's were ok with it once in a while, but not on regular fill ups.
Heck; even though my Jap import is a BMW, I still run it on premium fuel as that's what it'll have been used to in Japan

New lower door stickers fitted last night. Also forgot how big the Brembos were. Wheels off tonight and away for refurb on Thursday.
Looks well; they are big brakes! What colour have you decided for the alloys; or are you just getting them 'refreshed'?

There's a few shades ranging from light to dark. They are lighter when the sun shines (not very often). I might go a touch lighter this time. Will see what he has on Thursday.
Where are you getting yours done pal?Dropped the wheels and tyres off Thursday night. Also finished with the engine bay now.
Change of plan. The car is booked in with Brian at Cams for the belt change and everything else. He's going to remap it there so it'll all be done under one roof at the same time. Easier and less hassle from my side. Drop it off on the 6th April.
Also fitted a new set of wiper blades. Can't have a Subaru and not have PIAA wipers
Just cleaning and polishing the calipers while it's on axle stands. Might ceramic coat them while I'm at it.
