Yeah i can understand where your coming from with the CSL wheels but they do suit the car which is why they are so popular...
I have considered a square 18" set up instead, looked at a few sets, team dynamics, apexs, rota grids...
What i will more then likely do is aim to have csls for the road and a square setup for track days.
Still cant get my head around knowing which offset and visualizing how they would look on the car and getting the right tyre width for a 18" square set up though...

Despite being the obvious choice I've not seen anything that looks as good as CSL wheels on an E46. In fact they look good on most modern BMW's and CSL 'style' wheels look great on other cars IMHO.I have considered a square 18" set up instead, looked at a few sets, team dynamics, apexs, rota grids...

Little update been back at Croft again since last update heres some pics...
I've been spending a fair bit of money recently but its all been on maintance, its got to be done though. Car has just had 2 new bottom arms and bushes so now the front is as nice and tight as the rear.
I cant believe the difference in the steering it feels so positive now.
I have also replaced the two rear shocks with new dampeners from BC Racing as one was leaking...
Thanks to Martin (TrackM3) for suppling me with two new AP front dics as the fronts are well worn now. Excellent service ordered Saturday and they were here on Monday.
Its looking like i will need pads too...
