2002 Boxster S - up spec overhaul for Le Mans duty
Discussion
Thanks that’s kind of you.
My cars are a bit of a funny mix really - a bit like me! There is a 924s and a Sunbeam Lotus, my Caterham (which is a carbon fibre thing with a blackbird motor - would make a decent build thread maybe), the Peugeot 207THP Spider race car, a 991 GT3 and my long term project manual Fezza 360 which I’m (slowly!) building into something mega special as I’ve spent years acquiring all the parts to make it into a kind of cross between a 360 challenge car and a Stradale but with a manual box but using all Ferrari parts. Then there is a manual E89 z4 and a manual M4 comp which is fab. And the Boxster of course!

Awesome work!
I appreciate this has probably come up before, but what are the other cars in the cave?
Did I spot a Lotus Sunbeam in there?I appreciate this has probably come up before, but what are the other cars in the cave?

I think that O.Z Alleggerita look good and they are pretty light too... this photo gives an idea of what it would look like, although I think yours will sit lower than this with the suspension work you've done and therefore look even better:
Great thread by the way, I'm really enjoying reading through it and seeing the car develop.

+1, would struggle to beat the quality/weight, these are around 8kg for an 18" wheel I believe, not sure how that compares with a stock 18" boxster/911 wheel..Great thread by the way, I'm really enjoying reading through it and seeing the car develop.

Good effort, kind of surprised such a low mile car requires quite this many new parts though. (did you keep or sell the old suspension?)
Totally par for the course Mikey. It's age as much as mileage and the earliest cars are over 20 years old now.
Well done OP.
I've done all the exact same work on my 996 over the last 2 years.
Hard work but the difference between a normal one and a fully sorted one is huge.
Keep up the good work.
Edited to add -
The 360 sounds epic.
