It's a stunning car, no way I'd put spacers on an M car
Thanks. It is such a shame that the wheels don't sit flush from the factory I reckon. The rest of the design I'm a really big fan of though. I think the 370 has spoilt me a bit regards the spacers, however at least the wheels don't sit in the arches as standard on the M4 like they do with the 370 as standard though(you can bearly even see the wheels on that without spacers! ).

I always assumed that the wheels sitting like that was an airflow thing. Do they disturb the air down the side of the car if the sit further out?
I'd never even thought of that thanks. The M4 does have proper open vents behind the front wheels so that would make sense for sure. cerb4.5lee said:
That does look really well.

Thank you for that. Love yours by the way That Blue was my colour of choice, but couldn't find one at the time!
Cheers. When I first saw this Blue on the M6 from photos on here I really fell in love with it(plus I really like Blue on cars generally as well).

Gorgeous colour
I say get some spacers; fit them and if you like, keep em on. If not, sell them on...

That is a great shout regarding the spacers.
What do you think would be needed, 12mm maybe?
Would you go down the stud conversion route, or stick with longer bolts?
You'd not go wrong with this kit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-ALLOY-WHEEL-SPACERS...
Bimecc are well regarded, have been around a long time and used by a lot of folk. It'll be a good saving over the likes of Eibach and H&R too IIRC

I reckon that if I did do it I'd just go for the longer bolts. The good thing with the M4 is that you only need fairly small spacers to create the look that I like.

For what reason?
Folk run spacers all the time, can make a big difference or they simply make the wheels sit flush and in turn, give better looks...
Why should an M car be different?!
I don't suppose M car is any different, I don't like the idea of spacers on any car tbh, particularly performance cars, where they've been engineered specifically to perform and handle well. For a start, you're more likely to get rubbing on the arches aren't you?

I'm not an advocate of stupidly wide spacers; I use 15mm for my E39 touring and they did a great job of brining the track that bit wider/flusher, but with no rubbing at all, that's with the car fully loaded & my rather large arse in it too

The tyres are still in/under the arches, no rubbing at all
