I have a GR and a S1 Elise too but have a need to try something else.

Knowing both cars, if you had to make a choice, which would you sell?

It’s a great combo! Also a really tough decision, perhaps made harder because the Elise is a ‘1 of 50’ Sport 135, so probably worth hanging on to. The Yaris is also my first ever new car and I have become quite attached to it! I guess the simple answer is I’d keep the Elise, as I have never thought seriously of selling it. I wouldn’t feel short-changed for driving thrills if kept the Yaris though, with the added bonus that my family can come along for the ride too.

They are so different though - the Yaris makes pretty brisk driving seem too easy, it needs pushing much harder to get it working, where as the Elise feels like you’re flying, when you really aren’t. And you’ll never get a car with more feelsome steering then an S1, so it’s always a satisfying thing to drive at any speed.

It's been a while since I last updated the post, but am still enjoying the little thing, perhaps even more so than before. Took it on a road trip at the weekendto Wales with some mates, and it was incredible in the very wet Welsh weather!

The plan was to take the Zenos, but the weather forecast ruled that out.

Other cars with us were a F Type SVR and 992 GTS amongst others, and the little Yaris had no issues keeping up, quite easily setting the pace on the twister bits despite having half the power of the other cars.

Grip, braking and even in gear punch was so impressive. My biggest gripe with the Yaris was never it's ability, more that it really needs to be driven hard to truly enjoy it. In this environment, it was absolutely intoxicating!

Was also amazingly comfortable for 800 miles in 36 hours and didn't miss a beat! Guess I'll be keeping it a bit longer!
