I'm sure I'm totally missing the point, whoosh parrots etc... But why go for that over something like this for the same sort of cash?

That's rough. Overspray central and Bradford...
Aye, the big patch of rust they've sprayed over would have me going in with a price starting with 2 tbh laugh
I think his point is that even though that may be a bad example, is it likely to be more rusty than this sight-unseen one?
Yes.

Despite a complete new ignition system and cleaning the carbs and a new fuel filter it continues to run badly, seems better with the choke out suggesting its running lean or maybe an air leak, idles ok.

I'm off to France to 10 days, I've left it with the Land Rover man for new discs, pads and calipers, new flexis, metal pipes if needed, new master cylinder, fresh fluid. If I'm towing 3.5 tons its got to stop.

Err...umm... on the way to drop off at Land Rover man's workshop the oil light came on and the gauge dropped to zero, hopefully not a dead engine. It sounded ok when I pulled up and there was oil on the stick. Worst case I'll buy a top hat liner 4.6. Result!

Its going tremendously.
