Negative Creep bought this car from my girlfriend as she wanted more seats and has moved to a Golf Convertable!
She origionally bought this car over a year ago on my recomendation of being a fantastic little sports car that she can have some serious fun in without breaking the bank. It certainly did live up to this!! biggrin

The other reason I wanted her to get one was so that I could have a play in it without buying another car (I have 5 at the mo!!! LOL). I used to "steal" it as much as I could and loved every minute of it! It drove spot on everytime, handeled like a Go Kart, and really put a grin on my face when I drove it!! What more do you want from a car!!

People who call these cars "gay" and "hairdressery" obviously havent driven one to its full potential! Who cares what people think of it, its an awesomely fun car and nothing is gonna change that!
They obviously are not comfortable with their sexualality and worry about what people will call them if they drive the "wrong" type of car!! Just get on and drive what you like!!

Im a totally straight guy and Ive got a shortened PINK Mini FFS!! I get names called to me sometimes, but other times I get blokes coming up to me, shaking my hand just because I have the balls to drive such "camp" car for a laugh!! Works both ways but still I dont care!!

Its all in the name of fun!!!!! biggrin

Glad you enjoy the car mate!!!!

are not car enthusiasts, which i think is the point. I fully accept that they have an 'image'. But I also think that all the japanese off-roaders with all their plastic chrome accouterments that reside in my works car park also have an image and its not one i want to indulge in. Perhaps I would if I were a 'real' man, but as the man I am, and as someone who is very much a car enthusiast, I prefer the image of what autocar once declared was the best handling car on sale.

oh dear. looks like vino went a bit over the top. but i can see where he`s coming from in one way. i mean he did buy this mx-5 from a girl. that sort of does make it a girls car. and my mother used to have one and i have never known a man to drive one. bet it`s a laugh though. those wheels are nasty looking too. get some nice lightweight jap wheels and try not to dent them on all the potholes that are honestly all getting repaired with our road tax money. haha yeah right.

I know a paratrooper who had one.

Dave is easily the hardest man i know by a long chalk, and i am friends with a fair few 'extreme sports' nutters. He has done all sorts of mental things over the years.

How's this for butch??? - he wrote it off on a wet country road up in Scotland at 3am while out on a hoon boxedin

He said most of the cars there were "owned" by women BUT turned up with the MEN driving with big smiles on their faces!!

Says a lot.............. the blokes love to steal the missis MX5! I did whenever I could!! biggrin

The only reason she had an MX5 was because I MADE her get one so I could steal it!!! LOL laugh

Uuuuuuuuuuum, you don't get out much Mack, well over 500,000 MX-5s sold and you've never seen a man driving one

I may be wrong but it sounds like you may not be old enough to drive and see most cars when you're taken on the school run

Hopefully there will still be a few good Mk1 MX-5s around in a few years time for today's younsters to experience real rear wheel driving fun at a low price - the independantly minded ones anyway

Not a very mature reply for a 26 year old

You seem to take offence very easily, I've no idea what you drive as you don't say - for some reason

As it happens my wife (female) does my hair, a No.2 cut, has been for 20 years

In future it might be better to let your child post the replies smile

I'm just keeping to a level you can follow smile

I can believe that you may have a child and that you may currently have possession of two cars but not that you're 26

If you want the last word in this please do so
