That is good low mileage to be fair, one of the lowest I have heard of, and the colour is quite nice.

Forget all the tat you've suggested doing - Go to a scrap yard and pick up the original VTR/S/Furio bodykit, get it painted up to match and stick it on your car if you want to do anything - It will look smarter and will cost less than the bits you mentioned above.

If you want to do any suspension bits, buy a lower strut brace - get the top one as well if you're rich.
For the lights, you can colour code them with good looking results - Angel eyes look nice but they are expensive.
Change the filter element inside the airbox for a new washable one and make a good cold-air feed.

This will give you a fun car that looks good and is enjoyable to drive, saving you a fair chunk of cash to put towards tax/insurance/servicing/new car.

I had one exactly the same as my first car, the thought of anyone spending money on those 'mods' for it is hilarious, it was a decent shopping trolley run about but bloody slow! Great stepping stone to build up the no claims, but certainly don't throw any money at it!

If this is the case. You are a fool.

Also you don't want a StrutBrace on a Saxo. Tightens the front up which leaves the back flexing especially as it is Torsion Bar.

Initially tight turn in but much more easy to step the backout which isn't really recommended.

Okay, I have re-read the entire Thread and no one has made even the remotest hint at an untruth.

I therefore conclude... despite me best efforts, that you really don't get it.

I'm oot.

I haven't noticed the back becoming any more lively since I fitted the strut braces and it feels equally as stable as a previous Citroen Saxo without the braces - However I likely don't drive the car hard enough to have found the limit where this occurs I suspect.

The car does feel tighter in the corners and feels more exciting to drive because of this - I suggested it as a cheap modification that would make the car more exciting to drive, but I am hardly a fountain of knowledge on the subject. smile

What are you trying to achieve though? Those mods won't make a very slow car anything other than a still very slow car, and all the aesthetic mods just make you look like a common chav. All at your own cost, it boggles the mind.

Like i mentioned i had one (now my gf's) and it does the job of getting you about town etc, but to turn it into even a mildly warm hatch would require investment that could easily buy a far nicer/faster/cooler car. Even if you truely love saxos surely you would be served better by saving the mod money and upgrading to a VTR/VTS?

At the limit as you say will be the difference. It is why stiffening the chassis is a double edged Mod. You may only notice the negative difference when you have already gone to far.

For example on my 4x4 the Strut Brace actually makes it understeer more until I push past with Power.

It's about driving style and the OP sounds as though they may need a progressive limit rather than a snappy one which the short wheel based, stiff fronted Saxo may be liable to.

Blah, blah, not enough power to find limit etc but how many small hatches do you see backwards up banks within Town Limits laugh

Another key issue would be turning under braking (poor car craft) which with no give in the front can run away with you.

I completely agree though that you as a considered driver, motoring within your limits, a stiffer front will be sharper.

Do the rear as well and you could bunny hop it hehe
