Pete,
Something that just occurred to me - when most folks buy a new car it has servicing intervals of (say) 8,000 miles or every 12 months, whichever comes first. This obviously provides the required stamp in the history to document the car has been cared for as recommended by the manufacturer when it comes to sell it on.
If you only do 500 miles in a year, do you still have to send it in for servicing annually to maintain the history record and have it checked over/certified?
Not sure of figures, but assuming you have 50+ cars, how the hell do you keep track of what needs to go where and when? Do the garages/specialists have a pre-arrangement with you to come and collect them on a trailer and deliver them back as and when required?
Good luck with the new house, looking forward to reading about the garage build!!

Same applies to anyone who keeps a car but doesn't do many miles. You can apply common sense to some bits, but still needs doing regardless if you want to claim FSH.Something that just occurred to me - when most folks buy a new car it has servicing intervals of (say) 8,000 miles or every 12 months, whichever comes first. Pete's mentioned before that he has a guy (or lass IIRC) who manages it all for him.

Hi Pete, really enjoy reading this thread - your comments have made me chuckle a few times - and particularly hearing about a selection of the charitable stuff you’re involved with. I also enjoying seeing pictures of your cars out and about around Alderley, have seen a couple in the metal as well. I believe you’re getting the SF90...wondering if you know anything about the other version Chris Harris teased on Sunday’s Top Gear? All the best, D

That’s the very one indeed, wasn’t supposed to be ready until December but O’Roukes finished the leatherwork super quick. If you do manage to set up a place where a few of these cars are garaged for public viewing, I would be happy to pay any entry charge if it was going to a charity.
Fair play to you Pete, a Northern gobste (like me), but a massive & generous heart on top. Keep on doing what you do.

I do, that’s the one I’m getting. The Assetto Fiorano handling pack. Looking forward to it. 2manycars said:

Thanks for the reply! Not surprised that you’ve ordered what sounds like the variant to have. Seems unusual that Ferrari are making significant updates like this from launch but I guess this whole car is breaking new ground for them. Can’t wait to see your spec driving around.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
